WTW CHARACTER WEEK day 01 ↳ protagonists ; the 4 main povs of knights

ONCE UPON A TIME, there is a devil king. He had a table of soldiers under his command: loyal, just, and willing to do anything. One day, the devil king was amused by their loyalty, and asked them one by one what they wanted more than anything in life, then he would construct plans to help them obtain that.

i. serafine — the first soldier was a courageous, strong lion. she wanted to be a leader, and so the devil gave her the names of all those under his command, to puppet those in power from behind the curtain. controlling them would grant the lion her power.

ii. aredhel — the third was a wise eagle. she wanted to prove her worth and find her place in the devil’s kingdom and he gave her the keys to his kingdom, to guard and stand firm before the gates of hell: the keeper of the labyrinth.

iii. maribelle — the fourth was a shark with teeth sharp as knives. she wanted to play a hero. and the devil king let her run through the streets in wild abandon, bringing those deemed unworthy to their knees and dragging them into the drowning depths of his kingdom.

iv. storm — the sixth and seventh were a pair of sly, crafty foxes, they wanted to crush all enemies in the dark and seize the world for themselves. the devil gave them the keys to his secret vault, opening a world of possibilities and ambitions, so they could rob the world, keeping the fortunes to themselves.

No thoughts will come today.

to the comfort given by blank pages.

Bidimensional.

I experienced it,

suffered it, enjoyed it,

Then I would whisper on your lips

before you vanish again,

and leave me one more time

into my computer love.

So...yes, after an eternity, I’ve finally written this. It was from a KW activity I decided to make here long time ago, about KW music related to emotions, but I totally forgot about it until...now? hahaha. Better late than never, they say. WTW CHARACTER WEEK day 04 ↳ antagonists ; reginald clemonte

• reginald clemonte — 59 | he/him | chinese american | allegiance : avalon | alias : king arthur

the heir of the clemontes in the 38th generation, reginald clemonte continues to thrive and expand arkridge city's founding family's technology, weaponry, chemicals, and philanthropy. he has married three times : 1. ngô thi lan — a politician who passed away in a 'car accident' , 2. fleur laurent — a fashion model who died giving birth to colette clemonte ; and 3. cordelia liu — a physician who found herself at the wrong place at the right time.

behind the facade of everyday politics and colourful metropolitan life, the round table rules arkridge city from behind perfect masks and gilded thrones — reginald clemonte spearheads the multigenerational grand scheme of puppeteering the city's political and criminal world as its unspoken corrupt backbone that helped build arkridge into the megacity it is now.

downtown arkridge, also known to the underworld as avalon, is a black market network and sanctuary owned by the round table for those willing to pay the price. many find themselves intrigued by how easy it is for one's ambitions to prosper in arkridge and how quickly a single mistake can cause you to fall towards the gutters and beg for your life. king arthur (reginald) holds the keys to this kingdom, and with one wrong step you will find yourself spiralling in the abyssal labyrinth, erased from the very plane of your existence.

【 CH. 02 — FAITH IS THE ANODYNE ; act 1, storm 】

Storm exhales softly and grips the railing with both hands to flip over the side, landing on the balls of her feet in front of the boy. The files the Round Table has on him are outdated, but his alias has remained the same: Blackbird. The man has his trademark shotgun strapped across his back, a leather bandolier of knives hanging over his broad shoulders, and floppy curtain bangs that graze just above the black metal mask concealing his lower face. Underneath the dim yellow glow of the streetlamps, he almost looks handsome. Not that Storm will admit it to him, not now, not ever.

【 CH. 07 — STEELBREAKER ; act 1, serafine 】

The tall, imposing intruder radiates menace. But what truly disturbs her is the way he is armed to the teeth. At least half a dozen gleaming metal throwing knives are strapped diagonally across his chest from a leather bandolier, and a pair of handguns sits at his hips dangerously, his fingers hovering just above the weapons as if so he can access them easily. A shotgun nestles atop his back, the grip of the rifle just visible above his shoulders. But the one thing Sera immediately recognises is the mask he wears. Blackbird.

WTW CHARACTER WEEK day 02 ↳ tropes ; relationships

serafine / kit — fish out of water / mentor to bffs :

“Hello, Kit,” she greets, swirling her champagne glass before taking a small sip. The charity gala is an unusual place for her intern assistant to be at, she wouldn’t be surprised if this is his first. “I was wondering if you were coming.” “Honestly, I wasn’t sure I was coming until an hour ago,” he admits, scratching the back of his neck. The bowtie fastened to his white dress shirt matches the royal blue of her dress and he is wearing a black tuxedo jacket that is half a size too big, the trousers are tapered and he is wearing the same oxfords he wears to work. His angular features are softened by the dimpled boyish smile that conveys embarrassment. If he really tried, maybe pick a more suitable, tailored suit and style his hair back a bit more, the boy may be able to pass off as high society one day under her guidance.

aredhel / marcus — lovers to [redacted] :

Aredhel has a vision: a vision of the world as it should be — her world as it should be. Morality is something she cannot afford. Friends, family, relationships, they are all distractions. There is nothing she wouldn’t sacrifice to achieve her means, as long as she gets to her endgame. There is nothing she cannot do, in life or in death. Marcus Bryce may be the only exception.

maribelle / morgan — reluctant allies :

“Well, you look like you’ve just seen a ghost,” Maribelle notes as she approaches Morgan Van Doren’s cell. There is a spiderweb crack along the back wall of her cell, the tiles cracking lightly. It looks fresh. Still, it is better than being locked up in Montgomery Penitentiary. The woman is crouched in the corner of the room, her short blonde hair a mess as she tugs at it. “Leave me alone,” she mutters, cradling herself. 

storm / blackbird — rivals to allies to [??] :

Not long enough, she wants to admit but she stays quiet. Instead, Storm crosses her arms and looks him up and down, choosing to ignore the alarms in the back of her mind telling her to leave, to go back to her mission. Judging by the way his fingers subtly twitch for his rifle, whomever Blackbird has expected to run into tonight, it certainly is not her. And at this moment, she will take a bar brawl or two over running into him.

WTW CHARACTER WEEK day 05 ↳ relationships ; the clemonte family

a brief history of arkridge city and one of its founding families — the clemontes.

arkridge city is built in the rubble and scraps of an abandoned land along the coastline near new jersey by five old money families: the clemontes, the hardys, the gartrells, the bishops, and the xus. this city is completely detached and in its own league, a medley of modern and gothic architecture with a sense of otherworldly timelessness.  the clemontes are an extraordinarily influential family of philanthropists with a corporation that spearheads business, technology, weaponry, and chemicals. with unprecedented power and access to arkridge city, the clemontes started the secret organisation called the round table that blossomed from the early years of arkridge city’s establishment, with each member being a knight. throughout the years, they have embedded themselves in the megacity’s political and criminal world. the round table have been crafting arkridge’s elite playground for the rich and powerful for centuries and pull the strings from within the shadows.

WTW GHOST GALA ↳ week 01 ; knights

day 01. pumpkin carving ; you have to kill off a character, who do you choose?

a sneak peek into chapter 15 (stolen from my outline): following cordelia's announcement, sera goes to maverick to look for aunt regina, who holds the most shares in clemonte corp. we find out that she is an infamous Knight and the hitwoman of the Round Table with high af body counts. she gives sera a warning: with arthur gone, the underworld will only fester and grow more rotten, only when there is a power above to keep them in check will the district run smoothly

day 04. fallen leaves ; create a playlist for your wip.

i am now a botanist /j. but i found out that foxglove flowers (aka digitalis) are poisonous and fatal when ingested. they look pretty but damn, they're deadly.

day 06. vampire ; tell us where you find your motivation and inspiration.

by consuming a ton of media. also when i brain dump on my friends and talk to someone about my wip!! right now, inspiration for knights comes from kdramas ballerina and my name, as well as narcos and mission impossible.

day 07. skeleton ; have a favourite plot structure? if not, share how you plot!

i used to be an pantser, but i have gotten better at outlining. you can say it has become a motivation for me lmaoo. 

day 08. trick or treat ; set some writing goals and milestones for your wip.

the knights wc goal is 150k and i've already only 39k on the doc :( you can tell i've been very slow in progress but hey, we're getting there!! my earliest chapters are like 4-5k average which is a little out of hand BUT i'm hoping to spread out the scenes more and slow down the main 4 protagonists' stupidity lol
