As winter falls (Closed)

Persephone stood at the entrance of what was to be her home for the winter months of the year in the mortal realm. Not knowing what to expect or how she would be received in her husband’s domain, she held her head up high and proceeded  forward not knowing if she would be making the journey alone or if she would be escorted to Hades’ Palace. She could hear her mother sobbing behind her, Demeter having insisted on accompanying her. She silently hoped her mother would not take this separation as harshly as she had her time with Hades the previous year.

A chance meeting (Praxdike)

Her name was Praxdike, but she didn't know that. She didn't know a lot of things, really. She'd been cursed a long time ago by someone who wanted revenge, but she didn't know that either.

The last thing she remembered was hunger-constant hunger, and then going to sleep. When she woke, she was crossing a river and headed up to a great castle. "Where am I?" Green eyes on an all-too-slender frame scanned the darkness around her. Her hair was as black as some of her surrounding seemed to be.
