That’s certainly something Addison doesn’t want to admit to herself
because then she might have to admit why she’s so irritated with
everything, and she’s just not ready to admit that she misses him.
It’s not even in a sexual or romantic way. It’s just –– she’s grown
accustomed to having him there. Addison rolls her eyes inwardly
at the realization that she’s stealing lines from My Fair Lady.
She likes having Karev around.
He gives her a challenge and
keeps her on her toes in a way
that makes her want to throttle
him almost as much as she
wants to smile because of it.
The redhead groans inwardly because she simply cannot stop these thoughts that keep running through her head. It might be different if she were in surgery today, but somehow she has nothing on the board and no emergencies to tend to, and while she’d never wish for a pregnancy to go wrong so she could have a distraction, she finds herself needing to cut.
Especially when he rounds the corner, heading
toward her with his nose buried in a chart.
She panics. The intern doesn’t see her, so she turns to head in another direction, but there’s a certain manwhore at the other end of the hallway, and as irritated as she is with Karev, running into him is preferable to dealing with Mark right now. And she does literally run right into him. “Sorry,” she mutters, clearing her throat awkwardly as she bends at the knees to retrieve the pen she’d caused him to drop.
