Although the official working week had come to a close and some of her work colleagues had begun to filter out to their respective dwellings or evening activities, Kya found herself pouring over her research yet agian. It was only when her phone alarm rang to remind her to make her way to the biodone did she finally stretch out her cramped and knotted muscles and pack her things up into her handbag. That was the thing about being in this presigious team, you brought the work home with you. But tonight it would be a bkessed relief to do so, she wasn’t sure if going to the Biodome was even a good idea for she feared she’d make for bad company, Upon arriving in the bar, she made her way through to the tropical area of the bar and poised herself on a bar stool, waiting on the barman to finish with other customer. She had not yet notices any person near her as she texted her borther to remind him of their meeting. “Which is probably not going to happen. Too busy, my ass.” she whispered as she fished out some research on technologies that would help her further her ideas.
With her days occupied by the restaurant and her nights occupied by H.A.M.E.R., Lupe didn’t have much in the way of a social life. Which was probably for the best seeing as she wasn’t much of a social person to begin with. Most of her life had been spent as a loner when she wasn’t with her family and she honestly preferred it that way. But it didn’t mean that she didn’t find herself out at bars from time to time, killing daylight between the closing of Besos and nightfall when she could prowl the streets.
It was where she was as she overheard the stranger talking to herself, pausing as she was about to bring her beer bottle to her lips. Instead, the Modelo Negra was placed back on the bartop, one brow rising at the other woman. “Half thoughts are for half wits. Either spit it all out, or don’t say it.”
