What is Kyarascuro?

KS (Kyarascuro, "chiaroscuro" + "キャラ") is a large-scale crossover AU that incorporates several well-known video game based pieces of web horror/unfiction... Owned by me, Alan, but also co-owned by my friends Noelle (Idi) and Mateo (Equinotix...)

So what's in this crossover, anyway?

The main web horror works that KS pertains to are:*

Some other notable works such as BEN Drowned (Act 1 only) are part of it too, but not notable enough to be considered entirely derivative.

How do tags work?

Trigger warnings are "#(blank) tw"

Since KS is a trilogy, each part gets its own tag.

KSR1 = Rancor

KSR2 = Redamancy

KSR3 = Reminiscence

Each character gets its own tag, and the year the original post was made will be tagged too.

Sometimes groups of characters/ships get their own special tags, "#catacombs trio" for example refers to rainer, brendan, and cole (if in the off chance i ever did draw ship art of them the tag would be different because their ship name is different. polycatacombs anyone)

Noncanon art will be tagged. If it's not tagged noncanon, assume that it's canon.

"#wiki media" refers to all wiki contents.

Already probably said that before but I love your design for Zachary btw it's super cool and I can imagine him looking like that.

Granted I kind of love any Zachary design because I'm a Zachary selfshipper but still IT'S SO PEAK how you draw him.

THABK YOU SO MUCH :3 ive always kind of imagined him medium sized pale and having black hair... im not sure where the ties to green come in but I think it suits him. you know you have Melissa who is blue, and red who is. well red. so then you get zachary who is green!

as for that alternate take on him where you can see his heart and circulatory system, I had that idea as a way he'd see himself in a dream (or maybe even nightmare) as a manifestation of his trauma with the game. it's a silhouette because he feels like nothing but a vessel for the player monsters to march to their death, and his heart is visible because of the heart attack he gets near the fights climax.

a lot of ngc stuff is focused on the kaiju but since i was never really familiar with Godzilla when i first listened to it i latched onto all the human characters instead 😭 I hope my zacharyology suffices.... i am glad to be of service to any selfshipper... we must stay strong

kinda wanna talk about my thoughts on petscop since it's something ive been hyperfixated on for years but at this point it's become its own thing to me. that's kind of the beauty of it being so up for interpretation. petscop has evolved with me. it is a living organism. ohhhhh

i still want to give out some fun facts without me going in depth on why i think them though. so. under a cut because long

jill is a leskowitz sister, and lina did not die but was put into foster care (which was seen as a 'death' in marvin's eyes because he couldn't visit her after she changed schools.) this is how we have the boss scene in soundtrack, belle had physically gotten back into contact with her

thomas hammond is the world's most normal guy

i believe loosely in some timeline stuff but fr tho Paul is Transgender. This is Great because transgenderism solves everything

Marvin and Anna were both equally bad parents, Anna tried her best but would neglect Care out of habit and Marvin was verbally and emotionally abusive

Care was eventually placed under Jill's custody, and to this day Jill is still Paul's legal guardian

Belle is adopted which is why she isn't considered "part of the family" by Rainer, they cared about her but felt ashamed that Jill would adopt her knowing about Mike's disappearance and all of. That shit. Y'know. Tldr Rainer thought it wasn't right for her to join the family and by considering her not a part they felt they were sparing her in some way

mind the poor quality of the screenshots here, but here are some previews of the kyarascuro wiki so far. I thought it'd only be fair to provide a bit of an update for it considering I havent posted much about it at all.

the link will not be provided due to the wiki being unfinished, outdated in some areas, and also because there isn't enough canon ks content to warrant it being out there. also this is kind of a joint project between two people

a bit more info under the cut, if you like internet horror this might interest you:

kyarascuro is, for the unaware, a 3 part crossover fanfiction about 3 dead guys coming back to life. the wiki is there for posterity's sake as I want to get the characters in it across but I also feel like I lack the writing skills necessary to have it just be in the fic. basically, it's supplementary material.

there are 23 characters (2 are on a minor characters page) included so far, 3 pages describing the setting which will be updated over time, and soon a page with an overview of each part and its contents.

the wiki also contains its own original creepypasta. I will not be going more in depth because it is being rewritten!!!!

i am not currently looking for additional editors. when the wiki is made officially public, I might open up the articles for editing or add a comment section (somehow.)
