KYCK VICTORY
KYCK WAS AWESOME! For those who have yet to go, I don’t want to spoil anything but I really want to highlight the message how God has done EVERYTHING for us and all we really need to do is just repent and accept his unfailing, unconditional love. How crazy is that? We don’t even need to earn our way to salvation because it is freely given to us. God overwhelms me with his love.
Yeah I feel the hype from the past weekend and my feelings might go on a bit of a downer now that school has started, but no matter how my feelings are, i have certainty in the Bible, I have certainty that Jesus chose to die on the cross for me, I have certainty in the eternal life that God has planned for me.
OOC Unit Update
I recently received a new batch of applicants, I was not expecting this so I am going to be switching a few things. I now have enough applicants to put one person of each class on a team. Which keeps all teams balanced and hopefully much more effective. One team won't have all forces while another is all rangers due to random stupid chance. I will still be randomizing who goes into what unit. However now I will have specific categories (i.e a pool of names from rangers, bravers, so on so forth) that I'll pick from, rather than a collective sum. I haven't released the application forms publicly for these members yet though I am proud to announce our first two units! Unit 1: D.E.Cs Unit Entry: This unit may just work, we're gambling on them but that's specifically why we want them in a unit. Each of them hold themselves in high power over others. Yet seemingly work well with others provided their team will listen. I'm interested to see what may happen when we begin ranking the teams. D.E.Cs Rank Prediction: I predict this unit may rank higher than most if not top the charts. Each member has a high sense of self worth. I doubt any of them would easily accept being a lower rank than another Unit. Though I have genuine concern the unit may blame one another for their shortcomings. Abbreviation: KYCK (Pronounced Kick) Kiyoku - Newman - Braver - Captain Yosuwei - Newman (Dewman) - Ranger Charrisa - Cast - Force Kazu - Dewman - Fighter Unit 2: D.E.Cs Unit Entry: The first unit to be completely divided by not only job class but also race. The unit has potential, their captain has a high sense of self pride which I fear may cloud his judgment. If sent out alone this unit should preform at the top of the charts. However when paired with a different Unit results may fall drastically do not pair Unit 1 and Unit 2, results may be fatal if the units refuse to work together. D.E.Cs Rank Prediction: I predict this unit will excel when it comes to assault based missions, but fall short when they need to handle anything regarding stealth. Their unit is restricted to close range combat, unless they risk sending their captain into combat. Their most devastating or impact inducing member is also a heavy cast. It stands to reason the clunky movements and sound would give them away. Abbreviation: ENVY (Pronounced Envy) Einrad - Human - Gunner - Captain Nova - Newman - Force V1C (Vic/Victor) - Cast - Warrior Yun - Dewman - Braver
KYCK 2014 THE NARROW ROAD
Hello to all of my lovely followers,
On the 25th-27th of April, I attended KYCK 2014 with another 2000 youth to discover more about Jesus and to praise and worship him through wonderful songs. The theme was 'The Narrow Road' and based on the Sermon on the Mount. It was so much better than I expected, praise God for that! So many people were transformed by Jesus' love and many decided to accept Jesus as their saviour for the very first time.
I couldn't be more thankful for such an event. I'm writing this the day after and am having serious withdrawal symptoms. I wish I was back there, celebrating Jesus with 2000 other brothers and sisters in Christ. I learnt a lot, and was also reminded of so much.
The talks really spoke to me, especially being reminded of God's grace and how we can't forget that it is by God's grace that we can walk the narrow road. We have to stop trying to right our wrongs and focus on Jesus. Stop trying to win the approval of others. God is the only one who should be in our grandstand. Focus on GOD and his grace.
Moreover, it is so easy to be Christian when you are surrounded by other loving brother and sisters in Christ. But what about when you're in a place where it isn't so easy to be Christian? You can't be a 'sometimes' Christian! Don't fall into the wide road, for that road leads to destruction. Fix your eyes on the goal! (Matthew 7:13 - Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it.)
Some things I picked up from the talks and things I really need to remember include:
worrying is pointless! (Matthew 6: 27 - Can anyone of you by worrying add a single day to your life? )
it's all about God's grace, not anything that we do because we don't even deserve Jesus
obedience without forgiveness is useless, but forgiveness without obedience is imcomplete - hear God's word and then DO IT!
with God...you will not fall
P.S the band that played was called 'City Alight' and believe me, they were amazing!
your life should be lived for an audience of One. empty your grandstands.
