Which of the primarchs kids do you think is closest to their fathers legion? Like I personally feel sanguinius is a little bit wary of letting most of his sons too close to his fragile babies (v protective papa) so while they’re allowed in proximity only select few are allowed to establish a bond until the kids are a bit more mobile.
Versus lemans kids who are raised by the pack (as wolves do) so are equally likely to be hanging off their dad, wrestling on his war table as he plans with the captains, as they are to be found chewing on the ankle of a random space wolf who just happened to walk down the hallway they’ve decided is their ‘hunting ground’ for the day.
Versus peturabos child who is less ordered to stay away herself and more every iron warrior knows their neck is on the line if they even try and speak to her once. Besides MAYBE forrix who is allowed to say hi 3x a week max.

You perfectly summed up what I think about the relation between the primarchs' children and their legions. I would only add that Vulkan's children would also have a huge connection to His Legion (they are one big family, ur honor).
I still need to think more about the other legions (and if anyone wants to send me their own HC, I'd love to read it).

Kayvaan Shrike: his father cannot take the weight of the fact that your love cannot reach him. He doesn't blame him, he understand how bright such emotion can be for the master of shadow. But he does not back down. When Corvus disappear, he's there, holding the pieces, became the support of that painfull moment. He will act, he will stay close, he will show that your love will never burn him, and if does he's happily accept it. Not so many words a shared, but the ones that he can giove are the ones that matter to him.

Meetings between two primarchs are basically play dates for their kids. The parents exchange gossip (war plans) and the kids choose their bff from the other Legion.
