@shmoo92: this is pretty interesting from a psychology perspective, with specific regard to Jaeger Ranger mentality and the culture of Ranger training at the Academy. Yeah, I would expect there to be a more varied range of applicants, given the focus on potential (or identified) drift compatibility, but you’d still be looking at a LOT of people who were “the best or the fastest wherever they came from” and now they’re realising they’re nothing special.
