I’ve been wanting to pick this up for a while, because hello, a modern indie short story anthology combining sci-fi and fantasy written by an author group whose philosophy is pretty spot-on? Heck yes.

Anyway, I’m done with story #1 and HOLY CRAP. HOW. HOW IS A LITTLE RED RIDING HOOD RETELLING THIS EMOTIONAL AND MORALLY COMPLEX. Just. HOW.

So. Inktober. day 23, Leak, is uhh…

well, I racked my brain for days trying to come up with a literary reference for this prompt, because somehow my “I do what I want” rules wouldn’t let me just skip it and my brain kept shorting out on making anything up. So here’s Erandir with a dubious line I may or may not fit in sometime. Sketched solely in pen, which I half-regret.

2019: Mr. Ancient and Terrible himself, from Kyle Robert Shultz’s books. I remember I was sorely tempted to go with Malcolm on the Dragon prompt, but I’d actually planned ahead that year (shocker) and remembered I could do him in his scaled jacket for Ancient. So I did.

2018: Merian, if she happened to fall into the mud (I don’t remember if I had this planned at one time…) and there‘s that kid again, along with the pencil marks of where his sister was going to be looking on and chiding him for making mud pies, but the proportions were wrong so I erased it.
