I was in the Hetalia fandom around 10 years ago and found myself sucked back in recently. Is there a way out or am I stuck here for the foreseeable future?

not anon but, weird to think I've been watching your videos since middle school and am now in college... anyways, any behind the scenes notes from when you were figuring out Magician's character/design/etc? 13yo me was... maybe a bit obsessed with him 😅

Awwwh thank ya! Okay so... fun fact.... so Magician was a very early on concept, especially for Lovers as well considering we wanted britannia angel + cat france, and we decided to do both for funsies. His personality however was ya know, harboring secret feelings and a more flamboyant side of england back when the arcana were more of the remenant of the nations selves. However... 2ps were introduced, which had a similiar concept so we wanted to lean away from that. HOWEVER I was big in the 2p england craze, and was like '.... hm... what if he was a 2p-" to which Piano replied "No, canons only". Which, was very fair! We had agreed all the designs were to be based on canon designs and characters aside from Reve. However, the head falling off thing was interesting, so despite it being a 2p england trait, I offered it to Piano, attaching it to Judgement's gulliotine ways.

So its why Magician is mostly attributed 2p england in character personality, because honestly he WAS like that before 2ps even existed, and lo! the popular one was made real close to him, so they inspired each other in a way. Weird to think about huh?

been in the hetalia fandom since 2012, but i need advice. i think it's probably because the fandom has contributed to me having c-ptsd, but sometimes i'm just scared of interacting with the fandom as i had to deal with years and years of harassment from so many sides. even creating things makes me scared :(

i don't know if you ever had to go through such things like with dreamtalia or anything else you've created in the fandom, especially since I have been compared to the person who made Sonichu for something I made.

Oh yea nah I've had my share of people saying things and accusing me of being a horrible person in this fandom despite ya know... not. Its scary but some people are just like that, you need to have the bravery to go at your own pace and enjoy what you love

·        Turk is like ‘whoa whoa I aint the king, Im the page here now, see? Welcome to Swords. We don’t get visiters often… or at all, actually. This is something that should be celebrated! Come, come with me, let me show you some of our cuisine. I think you will like it, roasted bird from a storm cloud it is divine.”

·        Canadas llike yea thats great and all but can we see your king? Its important. Turk just stares and is like wow, whats your rush, the world is perfectly fine right now. It’s gonna get better soon, worrying about it is just gonna mess with your blood pleasure. Come come, come eat, it will calm you down.

·        Canada says can we??? Not??? And Turkeys like but I insist! We never get a chance to show our hospitality, everyone just kinda forgets we’re here. Granted we don’t have a way up here but... well, still. Canada is still antsy but Turkeys like ‘I promise I can give you the royal tour, but let me give you the tour here first! What is a Page for but being the humble servant of the civilians?”

·        Canada just huffs a bit and is like ugh fine, turkey looks to the rest and is like “Any other objections?”
