Manthos Agorá - 40x30 Local market

After the disaster caused by the monster wave, the new and improved agorá is now finally ready. (You can see the old one here) Whether you are buying or selling, the local market of Manthos has everything you need. Here you can even find workstations for ceramics, jewelry and lots of other interesting activities. Want to debate with Socrates? This is the place! Listen to a reading of Euripides? This is where it happens! And hey, bring the kids! They can play in the playground while you do your errands in peace and quiet. Welcome!

This is a local market, but if you want to change it to a retail store it should be supereasy, since I've left the cash register where it was, just in case. 😀

The Manthos castle was in ruins, so the council had to meet elsewhere. The Astanna temple was in a bad shape too, but they had managed to find a safe corner, to have important discussions and decisions. Today, Nashuja was invited to discuss future solutions for the leadership of Manthos.

- I came back to Manthos to help my family and to help rebuilding the city. Nashuja said, I am in fact King Ifiklis' son, but I had no intention of claiming the throne - I still haven't. The story of my becoming is a brutal one, and is still painful to my mother, me and the whole family. Forces within and outside of Manthos will surely try to use this against me, and against our country.

- However, he continued, I do understand there is a need of leadership in Manthos at the moment, and I accept that I might be the best suited person. However, I propose the following: I suggest that you make me the legal guardian of the Queen, and thereby the regent, without any formal right to the throne. Should she die, we will need to elect a new leader or king for Manthos.

After a brief discussion, the proposal was adopted and sealed with a toast of kykeon. Nashuja were now the regent of Manthos.

The child queen moved in with her uncle and his family. After all, he now had the best and most solid house in Manthos. Myrto and Eleos also moved in, and Myrto was given the daily care of the ailing queen. The change after a few weeks was astounding.

Noor had made a poultice with herbs, that after a few days made the eczema a lot better. It would probably disappear totally with time. In the beginning Noor had kept a polite distance to the queen, but soon gained sympathy for the little girl.

A nutritious diet is always important, and it certainly was for Petra's condition. In addition it seemed like the social environment did her good too. The women usually cooked together, often under the supervision of Noor. And what's more healthy than sharing a good meal with your family?

Every day Petra and Nashuja went for a walk, short ones in the beginning, longer ones as Petra gained more strength. The fresh air did them both good, and they developed a warm and trusting relationship.

Most people in Manthos thought this was a great arrangement. Nashuja was well-liked, and no one questioned his good intentions for the position. His efforts for the reconstruction spoke for itself.

Some very few whispered in the corners, about him not being a legitimate regent, that he was born out of wedlock, and that he might not be a citizen of Manthos even. These people had their own agenda, one that benefited themselves and their pockets only, and most people met these allegations with rolling eyes and disapproval.

Even Noor eventually came around. She never heard anyone comment or dwell on the way Nashuja had come into the world. And she was full of admiration of her son, but, truth be told, she was immensely proud of all her children.

Here she is, with her surviving children and grandchildren. Except Pamesijos and his family, who were abroad of course, and the two newborns who were sleeping.

During play she came to take her own personality, and accordingly doing things a bit differently than I would have. Still, there are similarities!

No, Tarina is not my real name and she is a much prettier, smarter and younger version of me! 🌞

Nerotriví Wash & Play set - recolors

Since the dawn of time, women have worked hard to keep their families and homes clean, and the tools they had in the beginning were cold river water, stones, and maybe some homemade soap. Laundry was very hard work, so often they teamed up to make it a bit easier. And more fun - even for the children. It was also a great opportunity to catch up on the latest gossip from the village!

Queen Petra's Palace - 50x50 lot

A new home for Queen Petra and her family. It's an Early Civilization castle for your royal sim, inspired by real Ancient Greek castles.

This lot is largely inspired by the Mycenaean Palace of Nestor, described in Homer's Odyssey, the ruins of which can still be visited outside Pylos, Greece. Petra's Palace is not a historically accurate representation, but has elements that will be recognizable to history buffs.

However, some parts are obviously not historically correct, like when I've used glass roofs a couple of places on the top floor instead of keeping it open (as it was in reality). This because of the in-game lighting and for practical reasons.

Even though this is a very large house, it's fully playable, but I must issue a little warning: this is a huge lot with many details, a lot of cc, debug and moo placements. If your hardware is on the lower end, you probably shouldn't have this lot in your game, at least not as a furnished lot. That said, it works fine in my game, and I haven't experienced any lags or other problems with it.

Ieros Limin Klima - 50x50 Residential lot

This residential lot is inspired by many of the small fishing villages in Greece, and in particular Klima on Milos and Gerolimenas in Mani. I've built the lot for a poor fisherman's family in my Early Civ save, so the furnishings are very simple, not to say poor, and with Early Civ replacement for necessary modern stuff like fridges, toilets and so on.

I also wanted to make an apartment version of this lot, but unfortunately you can't have apartments on waterfront lots. I know it's possible with a mod, but the disadvantages are major, so there would be no point imo. That's why six of the eight houses are empty, but you can fill them with all kinds of stuff, if you want to. I recommend that you lock the doors (click on the doors in live mode and select Lock Door for Everyone) to avoid household members and visitors from roaming around.

Petra's Palace Furniture set

Some pieces of furniture that was needed for the new palace. Petra's Palace (lot not published yet) is inspired by the Mycenaean palace of Nestor. Recolors of items from Gametastisch' Ancient World CC Pack

These items were among my treats for Simblreen 2025.

I really like Gametastisch' Ancient Greek/Roman/Egyptian stuff, although some parts are a bit too alpha for my playstyle. As always, I also look for more variety. Luckily that is something I can fix! And now I can share it with you.
