Hello! I am KyriaT and this is a pinned post for my simblr, so you can find stuff easier. Below the cut you'll find a little more about me.
If you are looking for my cc, sims or lots it will probably be easier for you to navigate at my main blogspot site: https://kyriatsims4.blogspot.com/ but you can also use the tag function under Archive if you prefer. Most of my stuff can also be found at Patreon and CurseForge.
If you are looking for my story side blog it is https://kyriat-stories.tumblr.com/
About me: I'm a historical simmer and at the moment I'm doing a modified and slow version of the History Challenge. I tend to do one thing at a time; doing recolors, build, play or writing stories, so you should know that these things usually comes in waves. 😊 My stuff will ALWAYS be free and ad*free - what I make for my own game, I will share with you. I do have a Patreon for practical reasons, and I might post some stuff a bit earlier (1-6 days) there, but I'm really not here for the money. I'm not even here for counting likes and followers, but I do appreciate nice comments and likes of course. 💗
I started playing Sim City 2000 in the mid 1990's and loved it from the start. When the first The Sims game came in 2000 I was first in line to buy it, and became totally hooked. I started sharing lots (and a few recolors) from The Sims 2, and the rest is history as they say.
My nick KyriaT is Greek and means Mrs. T, and I use it on most platforms that are game related, you can find me on Bluesky and Discord.
In real life I live partly in Norway and partly in Greece, I'm married and have children and grandchildren. I used to have a career mainly in the media/TV industry but I'm now retired because of health issues. As a person I am enthusiastic, social, shy and kind. I love to sing and listen to everything from rock to opera, enjoy to knit and sew, love motorbikes, dogs, books and travels, and small and large glasses of dry white wine.
I think that's all you need to know about me, but if you have questions just send me an Ask!
The result is very clear: most people prefer a few posts a week, so I'm continuing my regular publishing schedule of three posts a week. Thanks to everyone who voted! 💖
That summer was the hottest in Manthos in living memory. It was too strenuous for people to work in the fields at the middle of the day, and the regent had to make a law that said all work should cease three hours at midday, when the sun was at its most intense.
For Noor the heat was stressful. She was not as strong as before, and the heat made her exhausted. In addition to that, her back and hips ached, she couldn't see as well as before, and she found it really annoying. One could hear her swear sometimes in her native language.
Her children and grandchildren had taken over the responsibility of the household, but Noor insisted on contributing, even though everything was done at a slower pace. She was no longer the fastest fruit picker in Manthos, but no one expected her to be, except perhaps Noor herself.
She had a good relationship with all her grandchildren, but Eleos had a special place in her heart. And vice versa.
- I'm so glad I can come and see you giagia, Eleos said, everybody else is so busy! Even Petra is always with uncle now, and don't have time to play.
- I will always have time for you koritsaki mou, you know that. You are the brightest shining star in my life, you know! Now tell me, how is your uncle Nashuja? He is working hard, isn't he?
- He is! And he is never home! And when he is, aunt Reem is annoyed with him because she has to take care of everything herself!
- Haha, I can imagine. To his defense he has a lot of responsibilities... What about your mother, how is she doing?
- The same. She just keeps to herself, like before. When she is not helping me or Petra with things, she is at our old house and just sit there, staring into the air. Sometimes she cries.
- Mmmm.
- Sometimes I feel that it would have been better if I died, instead of the twins. Because she loved them A LOT.
- Oh no my darling, don't you ever think like that! We all love you so much! Your mother too!
- Ourania says I'm a bastard child. She said that Omiros wasn't my real father. Maybe that's why my mother loved the twins more?
- She said what? I can't believe some people!! And what did Bansabira say?
- She just yelled at Ourania. But she looked strangely at me, so I understood that it might be true, that Omiros wasn't my real father. Am I a bastard giagia? Did you know my real father giagia?
- I didn't. And you are not a bastard. Omiros gave you his name, and treated you well, and he was proud to be your father. As for the other one I've heard nothing bad about him either. They say he was a good man. And kind. He helped your mother during an earth quake once.
- And then he died? Is he dead giagia?
- Oh my little pumpkin... Honestly? I don't know. He lives far, far away, you know. But the last thing we heard, he was alive. And you know something else? Ourania is just mean and jealous. You are very lucky, because you have three fathers! This one, that you don't know, who gave you life, and then Omiros, who loved you very much, and now Nashuja who loves you as much as his own children.
- Uncle Nashuja is my father?!!!
- Well, not really, but he is the same as a father. It doesn't matter what you call it.
- So he is my regent father? Because Petra says Nashuja is her regent King?
- That's right! Regent father! Ha, you clever little girl.
- Giagia? I'm so glad I can talk with you giagia! Because nobody else tells me anything. Especially my mother, she doesn't talk with me at all.
- Oh your mother... she doesn't really talk with anyone, does she? And maybe she's afraid you would misunderstand and that you are not old enough to hear the truth. But I think you are. Koritsaki mou, you must remember that the truth itself is never your enemy. But be careful to whom you tell it, because they might use it against you. Do you understand that, asteri mou?
- Yes, I think so.
- Now, have I told you about when I was a young girl and heard the camels sing?
- Sing? Elos was doubtful. I don't think camels can sing? Are you making this up giagia?
- No!! It's all true! My sister Eira heard it too! It was when we crossed the desert before we came to Manthos. There was this camel driver, he sang so beautifully! I can still remember his voice! And when he sang, the camels would join him. They really did, I swear! Oh yes! They had their own choir you know!
- Haha, a camel choir! I don't know if I believe that!

«Time is the moving image of eternity.» Plato (from Timaeus)
I don't know how many times I've rewritten, deleted posts, edited photos, rescheduled and so on, the next chapter in my story. It has been very challenging to write, add pack-updates with bugs and general game problems, real life taking the best of me (mostly for good reasons, but still) and prevailing laziness. BUT NOW I'M ALMOST READY!! The first post will hopefully be published next week. I cross my fingers that there are still someone out there remembering Noor, Myrto, Eleos and the other characters in Manthos. 💕
Serifos Village Apartments - 40x30 Residential lot
Once again I have been loosely inspired by villages on Greek islands, this time, as the name indicates, Serifos. Since my save is set in Early Civilization, the houses do not have the typical white appearance that they have today, but are built of natural stone. (In fact, the houses probably should have been even darker, if I were to stick to historical accuracy.) Whitewashing only became common in the 20th century.
To allow more families to live here, I have divided the houses into "rental apartments." They are simply furnished to keep costs down, and one apartment consists of several houses (with one exception). There are five rentable units spread over 10 houses, as well as four houses used by the community.
Very important: Make sure your lot is set to Residential Rental before you install this lot. (How? Enter an empty lot - Change the lot type to Residential Rental in the Lot Info Panel in Build Mode - Now open the Gallery and place the lot.)

Packs and cc
I've used cc and several packs for this build, as well as TOOL and MOO. As always, you don't need all items or packs to download, but you must be prepared to do some editing if you don't have them, because of missing items.
Not all cc is included in the download! A list (PDF) with details and links for all cc used is included. I always try to follow the creator's TOU, however, if you have problems finding working links to any of the cc listed, please contact me, maybe I can help.
The lot contains some of my own recolors, and I've also used CC from the following creators:
Well protected from pirates and invaders you will find the small community of Gournia, with a simple but very cozy bar and plateia in the center.
Like the real-life Gournia, this lot is hidden from the coast, and even if intruders were to find it, it is built with narrow streets and corners making it easier to defend against any army with lancers and archers. It's a protected place to relax, discuss, meet other sims, shop, work out, be inspired and most other things sims likes to do.
*The lot is categorized as a bar, but if you rather would want it to be a library, museum or a gym, you can simply change the category in build mod. All obligatory items for these lots are already there (and usable even as a bar).

This residential lot is inspired by many of the small fishing villages in Greece, and in particular Klima on Milos and Gerolimenas in Mani. I've built the lot for a poor fisherman's family in my Early Civ save, so the furnishings are very simple, not to say poor, and with Early Civ replacement for necessary modern stuff like fridges, toilets and so on.
I also wanted to make an apartment version of this lot, but unfortunately you can't have apartments on waterfront lots. I know it's possible with a mod, but the disadvantages are major, so there would be no point imo. That's why six of the eight houses are empty, but you can fill them with all kinds of stuff, if you want to. I recommend that you lock the doors (click on the doors in live mode and select Lock Door for Everyone) to avoid household members and visitors from roaming around.

Hi hope you are well! would you ever consider recoloring the sink from Balkanika's kitchen set? I know you did the rest in your manthos kitchen
Thank you for asking, I'm busy with RL-stuff, but fine! 😊
I remember considering the sink when I did the other parts, and decided not to, for reasons I don't recall. But since you ask so nicely, I will have a look at it again, but I don't want to promise anything! *adding this to my to-do-list*
Last song: Jeđđenluohti with Kajsa Balto (Heard it on the radio, so lovely!)
Currently watching: Drops of God (Apple TV)- such a minded and beautiful series! If you like wine, like me, you will be obsessed!
Sweet, savoury, or sour: Since we have some health problems in our family these days we try to avoid the all of the above. But I love them all!
Currently reading: I'm mostly reading news atm, really depressing. But I have a new book on my nightstand that I want to read: Hilde Rød-Larsen: I Pantalones hus, and also Marilynne Robinson: Housekeeping is waiting for me.
Current obsession: Eh… except Sims? 😊 I'm trying to eat healthy! And to do that I'm currently cooking everything from scratch. It really is much healthier, but takes so much time! Luckily, it also tastes better.
Last Google search: Creamy Lemon Shrimp Scampi Pasta
Currently working on: Non-sims: Preparing for spring in our garden! Sims: Just published some CC updates and lot-builds, so now I will finally start writing a new chapter in my story, until now I've been procrastinating... I hope inspiration will hit me right in the face once I start!
I wont tag anyone, because I think most of my mutuals who enjoys this kind of thing have done this already. If not, consider yourself tagged!!
I was truly shocked to learn that making CAS-items Base Game Compatible was so easy (Thank you @ravensim!), and immediately started updating my CC. In this process I realized I was not happy with two of the colors in my Knossos palette, so I changed that too, so most items now also got two extra swatches.
Here are links the updated posts on my blog with SFS download, but you can find them on Patreon and CurseForge as well.

After the disaster caused by the monster wave, the new and improved agorá is now finally ready. (You can see the old one here) Whether you are buying or selling, the local market of Manthos has everything you need. Here you can even find workstations for ceramics, jewelry and lots of other interesting activities. Want to debate with Socrates? This is the place! Listen to a reading of Euripides? This is where it happens! And hey, bring the kids! They can play in the playground while you do your errands in peace and quiet. Welcome!
This is a local market, but if you want to change it to a retail store it should be supereasy, since I've left the cash register where it was, just in case. 😀

The women wash clothes on the riverbank by the mill, while children and toddlers play and have fun.
Since the dawn of time, women have worked hard to keep their families and homes clean, even when the only tools they had were cold river water and homemade soap. At least at Nerotriví, their children can play while their mothers are busy and during their break they can enjoy a coffee at the bakery. The work is like a breeze!

Since the dawn of time, women have worked hard to keep their families and homes clean, and the tools they had in the beginning were cold river water, stones, and maybe some homemade soap. Laundry was very hard work, so often they teamed up to make it a bit easier. And more fun - even for the children. It was also a great opportunity to catch up on the latest gossip from the village!
I've also made a lot (playground) for these activities - it's coming soon!
The set has five items. You will find the objects in game where you normally find this kind of objects, or by searching for Nerotrivi or KyriaT.

(yes, I know I'm late to the party, but better late than never right?)
Just wanted to say hello and give you an update on my plans ahead. Because I do have them! Plans, I mean! Sometimes they need to be changed though, and this is what happened to me in December.
My hubby was hospitalized, and for a moment it looked very serious. Thank god he is okay now, but these kind of things gives you a scare. I have considered whether I spend too much time on The Sims and not enough with my family. I might spend a little less in the future. (My problem is that I enjoy it so much. 😌)
I want to publish a new chapter in my story. However, if I'm not focused and inspired I find it too hard to write, and I don't want it to be hard. I want it to be easy and joyful. If not, there is no point. I hope to start posting in mid February, but we will see.
My story and game is now slowly moving into Ancient times, following the History Challenge Extreme sheet. When I get there it would mean some rebuilds and stuff, and I really look forward to that, since it's one of my favorite thing to do.
I do want to develop my skills for cc making, but I find it very hard. I have a disability where one of the symptoms are cognitive challenges, making it very difficult to learn new things, especially complicated things like Blender. But maybe I will do some very simple frankenmeshing? That is my hope for this year. 🙏
What I did accomplish, is putting together a new video summary. I had already started it months ago, and now, while waiting for some mod updates after the resent patch, I was able to finish it. Finally! I really should do the remaining chapters now that I have it all fresh in mind.
I hope you are all enthusiastic and confident about the year ahead, even though some politicians are doing their very best to crush all optimism. But from someone who has been alive for a while: nothing lasts forever. I'm happy to have this community to keep my mind off all the bad things in the world. You are very important for my mental health and well-being! You really are!
We, the simple people, might not be able to stop wars and eradicate all suffering in the world, but we can be kind to each other. "Give someone a smile and you can change their day!", my grandmother said. We can never do more than our best, but if we do that, it's not a small thing.
Wishing you a peaceful year with happiness and all good things! 💖💝💖
A new home for Queen Petra and her family. It's an Early Civilization castle for your royal sim, inspired by real Ancient Greek castles.
This lot is largely inspired by the Mycenaean Palace of Nestor, described in Homer's Odyssey, the ruins of which can still be visited outside Pylos, Greece. Petra's Palace is not a historically accurate representation, but has elements that will be recognizable to history buffs.
However, some parts are obviously not historically correct, like when I've used glass roofs a couple of places on the top floor instead of keeping it open (as it was in reality). This because of the in-game lighting and for practical reasons.
Even though this is a very large house, it's fully playable, but I must issue a little warning: this is a huge lot with many details, a lot of cc, debug and moo placements. If your hardware is on the lower end, you probably shouldn't have this lot in your game, at least not as a furnished lot. That said, it works fine in my game, and I haven't experienced any lags or other problems with it.

Packs and cc
I've used a lot of cc and many packs for this build. As always, you don't need all items or packs to download, but you must be prepared to do some editing if you don't have them, because of missing items. The most important packs for this lot are: For Rent, Horse Ranch, High School Years, Jungle Adventure and Courtyard Oasis.
Not all cc is included in the download! A list (PDF) with details and links for all cc used is included. I always try to follow the creator's TOU, however, if you have problems finding working links to any of the cc listed, please contact me, maybe I can help.
Some cc have not even been published before, and needs a little explanation:
💝 With kind permission from Philo, I've mirrored two swatches in Minos Deco Stickers and added them as new swatches. Please download the set from Philo (at the moment hosted on TSR), then replace the Stickers package with THIS ONE.
💝 My friend @mrsracooney made a wonderful mural inspired by my story characters. It was recently published, but I think it deserves a special mention anyway. (mesh from Martine needed)
💝A fellow historical creator, now retired, Gloomytrait once shared with me some colorized statues of @thejim07 's Hebe and Minerva. I think they are beautiful, and much to good not to be shared, so I asked TheJim007 for his permission, which he kindly gave (mesh/original needed)
💝I did a quick recolor for another project of the ArcaneIllusions Alchemy Lab manuscript v03 by @irinaseverinka to make it more Early Civ looking (the devil is in the details...). It's not something that deserves a post of it's own, but thanks to Severinkas generous TOU, I can share it freely. (It will need the mesh)
