I don’t think it’s right to tell people just not to watch it, but warning people who would be upset when seeing it in theaters seems like the right thing to do.

Yeah same, it's just the way the original post was written is not just about warning. I understand the good intention, and it's a nice way to warn people who will be easily triggered by certain themes,

I also know people from my knowledge, who are so clinging on critics/others opinions about movies, they would even miss the chance watching it? Yes, they are people like that.

Idk, I just don't think a good critique would advise people to miss a movie because they didn't like it or felt triggering. I mean if you don't want to support it, fine, don't go watch it in a cinema. Trigger warnings are cool, and it's also cool if you tell others to be aware of them, but still, not cool to tell don't go watch a movie because this and that.

I'm not even trying to defend Laika here, because I don't actually think they are that progressive whatsoever, but I do respect them for trying to work with puppet animation, wich is often considered a no between studios for being really time-consuming and expensive. At least give them a chance for working so hard on a movie. No one is telling you to like it - infact, it is all good if you see the flaws of storytelling, but the more of you guys will see it, the more of you can either agree or disagree with it.

people on trade servers can be rather ridiculous or rude sometimes. I’d recommend a website dedicated to steam trading. I mostly use bazaar.tf but there are plenty of other good ones too
