//I admit, I am 1000% going to cheat with my Menenius and have him learn to use various forms of magic. It's not going to be necessarily easy for him, but considering the guy is 1. not of Garlean blood and 2. a big researcher of ancient empires and dynasties like Dalmasca and Allag, I say we let him have a bit of magic mastery, as a treat.
Plus, considering he'll be traveling around Eorzea to gather information as a clearly-not-Garlean, he might as well put his vast array of knowledge and skills to use by learning some of Eorzea's jobs while he's at it. They might just help him compensate for his physical limitations in ways that magitek can't, or for when magitek isn't available to him to employ.

I feel like a neglected part of Arthur is how absolutely extra he is. Like 16th-18th centuries he’s this relatable, rough around the edges nerd trying to be fancy and yeah he’ll make fun of French fashions!! But he’ll also be secretly wanting to be as extravagant and statement making as possible. I won’t lie, if I could spend thousands on clothes and accessories alone I fucking would.
