A small thing I changed that made my workouts feel less like punishment
I used to finish gym sessions feeling wrung out. Not the good tired — the "why did I do this" tired. Turns out a big part of it was dehydration. Not from not drinking water, but from not replacing what I was actually losing.
Electrolytes — specifically sodium, potassium, magnesium, calcium — are what keep your muscles contracting properly, your nerves firing, your body actually recovering. When those are low, everything feels harder than it should.
Started dissolving an effervescent L-Carnitine tablet before my sessions. It handles the electrolytes and the fat metabolism support in one glass of water. The orange flavour is bright and clean — not candy-sweet, just refreshing.
Three weeks later my recovery time is noticeably better and I'm not dragging through the last 20 minutes of a workout anymore.
It's such a small habit. One tab. 250ml of water. But the compounding effect over weeks is real.
if you're training consistently and still feeling like something is off, it might just be your hydration formula — not your effort 🍊
