I have spent a lot of time with athletes specifically hockey players ( none in nhl this is strictly college boys) bc my bf dated one and let me tell you we are 32 now and she still brings up the trauma he put her through ( she stayed too long but she was down bad for him) like he would seriously cheat on her every away game and then cry in her lap basically begging her to stay and how he is so sorry , would follow half naked insta models AND dm them and exchange pics, he was a great guy just such a bad bf like I don’t know why they even have a gf/ wife if they can’t control themselves oh I know bc they like the image it gives them. One of the things my best friends ex said to her was that she was the perfect idea of how he saw his life going being a National hockey player (still in the AHL lmao) having a house and wife (my best friend) to stay home with the kids while he would be out screwing around on her

Thoughts on Lauren Kyle and McDavid/the general tone of their relationship?

It's hard to tell what their relationship dynamics really are or whether they differ in real life from the snippets we occasionally get on the internet, but generally, I consider their relationship bizarre and at the same time awfully typical for an NHL player.

With Connor being one hell of an awkward person on camera, no matter whether it is a video or a photo, and no matter who is there with him (except Leon, sometimes I feel like Connor has more chemistry with him than he has with Lauren), it creates a feeling of their entire relationship being just as awkward and tense, which is a feeling that was drastically aggravated in my eyes after the infamous Connor cheating video surfaced - the lovey-dovey photos they posted together after Connor was seen out with a girl that was completely opposite of Lauren looks wise (a brunette, ladies and gentlemen, Connor McDavid, an NHL player, chose to hook up with a brunette) were just awful to watch. It felt like both of them were forced by themselves and each other to post them to calm down the raging public and assure each other that their relationship won't fall apart.

Honestly, at this point, they are together only because Connor with his personality is not capable and probably not even willing to waste his energy to find anyone else, let alone someone who would actually vibe with him and would be better than Lauren who is a stereotypical WAG that tolerates her dignity being slaughtered online by her partner, and Lauren herself is overlooking her man cheating on her because she is there for the bag, the fame, and the ring, which she still hasn't received from him.

Don't even try to tell me - "Oh, Lauren doesn't need Connor. She owns a design studio.". Her designs copy what a ton of other interior designers have been doing since long before her, she doesn't have any characteristic style that would assure her a renowned spot in the industry and a stable income, people know her and her design studio only because she is dating Connor.

I literally didn't recognize her on the photo the NHL account put up, had to go to her profile to see whether it was really her and not just some random girl, Connor has met during summer.

To be honest though, this color suits her much more than the blonde. Looks more natural, younger, and mainly less "plastic slash fake".
