I wish I could have met you before I died. The baby you. Seeing you all grown up was one of my fondest wishes come true but I needed to see Sara grow into the woman you described and I know being able to hold you as your aunt would have been a dream come true. I needed to be there for you, to tell you stories and wipe tears away. I wanted to be the cool aunt the one you could come to with anything. I am thankful for the time we did have together but I needed to be there for you. The world isn’t fair but it gives us gifts that we can never pay back. I just wish you had been one of mine.
