04/10/2017 - Casual & Blue Coord for Sukkot Eve

A simple and low key (and easy to wear because it was a hard day already) coord for Sukkot's eve at nesting SO's parents house. It was overwhelming to me and our other SO.(we are still closeted to nesting SO's family as Polyam but this is sort of...softening them up? I guess?!).

Coord details:

Skirt (modified L084), blouse (L076), bow (from skirt): Bodyline

Petticoat: Me Likes Tea

Shoes: Teva Naot

Jewelry: Off brand.

Hi! I'm considering purchasing bodyline l084 in red for a christmas coord. I think it's a pretty terrible skirt, but I like the tartan plaid and for $13 I'm willing to mess around with it to improve it. What are some modifications you would suggest? I'm planning on cording it somewhat classic, with a beige winter coat, beige boots, a cream high neck long sleeve blouse, and some coordinating tights

That’s pretty rough… I’m honestly having trouble thinking of what you could even do with it. The things that stand out to me the most are the blue ribbons and at first I thought it was just the bows at the bottom but then I realized that it goes all the way up the lace so if you were to remove it you would have to replace it with something because the lace wouldn’t look right without ribbon in it and I don’t think it would be possibly to cleanly remove all the lace. Then if you were to figure out something with that the problem becomes the bottom with that mess of ruffles and lace and it’s hard to say exactly what could be done with that without knowing how the skirt is constructed because it looks like that’s all just an underskirt. Honestly it would probably cost less to buy a better skirt or to buy tartan fabric and make your own than it would to do enough alterations to make this one nice.
