Just watched the trailer and it looks so hype! Unfortunately I don't have twitch so I won't be able to watch the streams :( I'm excited for all the amazing fanworks that are going to come out though!
Do you think that Grian was being so mean to Pearl because he was scared of her? Put her down, so that when it came to the end she wouldn't be able to put him down?
I never thought about it like that but that makes a lot of sense. His bullying of Pearl is very different from say Skizz, Jim, or Mumbo, because he deems them as weak and incompetent. His bullying of them is more like the “eye roll I have to deal with these idiots again” type.
But Pearl is a completely different beast. He knows she’s perfectly capable of ending him and his series. He’s terrified of the Scarlet Witch. Everyone is. But he also knows that she’s loyal. And who is she most loyal to? Gem. As long as he keeps her around, Pearl will never turn on him. You got your attack dog and her handler.
And so Grian belttiles her. He contradicts his own definition of a villain. He makes her feel small to make himself look big when deep down he knows it’s not true.
But he can’t go too far. He’s intimidated of her potential to turn on him as she did with Scott. You don’t want to reawaken the Scarlet Pearl. So as a “reward” for staying with him, she gets to be with Gem.

I am watching it! I still need to finish pearls new episode, but so far I’m absolutely loving it! Pearl finally gets to be part of something, and I’m eating up the way she supported Cleo when she revealed they were a vampire. It sort of makes sense that the person who hasn’t actually seen the evil of vampires would be so chill around one. Not to mention showing how she truly cares for her roommate.
Apo and avid’s povs seem so angst filled from the clips I’ve seen. I mean they both committed arson!
All in all it’s been amazing so far

I love all of them but it might be a three way tie between third, limited, and wild.
Third because it’s a classic and still holds up in terms of story imo. It was the reason I joined this fandom so I have a soft spot for it. (I started with last life but I was a bit overwhelmed due to not knowing anyone + starting with a season with a gimmick without knowing the ground rules)
I loved the chaos of limited life. The bad boys are one of my favorite teams and the episode where Grian was afk is my all time favorite episode. A lot people were not a fan of the sky net but I loved it personality due to the chaos it created. People also complained the deaths meant nothing because they had a lot of them but I loved it because chaos. The song is still a banger.
Finally wild life. This might be a hot take but I love it. Many people complained it was “too gimmicky” but I love chaos in life series. IMO it perfectly balanced gimmick, story, and character dynamics. Joel winning the most chaotic season after holding back this whole time was so good. It had my most favorite teams (family, spanners, bamboozlers). The premise promised chaos and it absolutely delivered. (Something I can’t exactly say for pl but that’s a discussion for another day) The snails were iconic and I adored the superpowers episode. I was SO disappointed wild cards didnt come back for past life. Imagine how cool it would be if the final battle of past life had superpowers involved!
TLDR: I’m a chaos gremlin and my favorite seasons reflect this
