School Project

So I’m doing a public speaking project about witchcraft and I have some questions for the community.

1. What are some misconceptions you’ve heard about witchcraft/your practice?  2. What is the truth about those misconceptions? 3. What is your belief system?(If you can share without breaking your oath. E.g. Wiccans believe in the God and Goddess/have a nature based belief system) 4. What is some common ground you’ve seen among practices?

So I made this one towards the start of January, the recipe for a New Year’s Spell Jar was posted by @lunaesteria. I had to substitute some stuff cuz I didn’t have and didn’t know where to get it. Like I used some used fire wood instead of fire salts. But I think it’s working pretty well so far.

I’ve noticed that the longer I study, practice, and am involved in the Witch/Pagan community the better I feel. Even if I’m very stressed I’m happier. I feel kinder to myself and others. I’ve gotten two ideas to help people that I hope play out. It doesn’t sound like much but it’s important to me. I’m starting to love myself. I’m glad I chose to be Pagan it’s such a positive force in my life now.

I felt like sharing that I’m starting a Pagan Club at school. I’m hoping to educate people about different branches of Paganism and dispel some myths that might be circulating still. It will also hold rituals for different holidays for different branches. We’ll be starting with more of a Wicca focus since I know it better. Heathen next probably. If you want to share about your branch of Paganism, message me or reblog this with an explanation and I will work it into a meeting once I get it set up.

Look at this photo of the full moon my boyfriend took for me!! His old friend recently broke so he got a new freaking iPhone 11, and this is the photo of the full moon he got for me! It looks like a painting it’s so cool!!! I’m gonna see if I can commission someone at my college to paint it for me. Or see if there’s someone on tumblr who’d do it. Ahhh so happy

So i had a writing assignment for Intro to Creative Writing and we were supposed to write about a character giving something up for knowledge so I made up a coven with imaginary rites for initiation where like the sacrifice is giving up time and energy and occasionally resources (like providing cakes and wine or candles or stuff like that) and I kept it as vague as I could for many reasons. Including that I don’t know anything. But like. Dude it was so fun. I got a similar rush of excitement like when I practice magic. I wish I could just write about magic and ritual and witchcraft and covens and share the stories without being an oath breaker and like being a bad witch. I know why we keep rites secret but it’s hard sometimes. On the upside a couple of my friends are interested so if they join maybe I can just vocalize my stories to them or write stories that only they get to read.

I’m spending the weekend at my boyfriends for Imbolc! I think I’m sleeping on the couch but that’s fine. Shineataraxia_tarot (Instagram) and I are making food for Imbolc and she decided she wanted to make a New Year Jar. So we made some fire salts! I used a tsp paprika, and tsp ish of Tajin™ Clásico Seasoning because it turned out we did not have any red pepper. We also used some minced garlic juice and bits and lots of salt. The smell was still pretty strong. Don’t use this stuff to eat. Get it store bought or find an actual recipe. Magic is good. With her permission I might post the spell jar.
