Bill

Acts of Service & Quality Time

How he shows it: He’ll never say "I love you" outright, but you’ll notice he’s always the one making sure you’re patched up, reloading before you are, or checking that you’re walking in the middle of the group so you’re safe. Sitting quietly with you during breaks counts as his version of bonding.

Will hand you the med-kit without hesitation, insist on going first into dangerous spots, and share his smokes if you’re stressed.

Zoey

Words of Affirmation & Quality Time

How she shows it: Zoey’s the type to hype you up mid-horde calling out how well you’re doing or cracking a joke just to hear you laugh. She’s big on talking and sharing stories to keep morale high, especially about her favourite movies.

Will remember tiny details you’ve told her, compare you to her favorite heroes, and walk alongside you even if she could push ahead.

Louis

Words of Affirmation & Physical Touch

How he shows it: Louis thrives on encouragement and spreading positivity. He’ll constantly check in, give fist bumps, pats on the back, or playful nudges. He believes in lightening the mood even when things are bad.

Will shout "Nice shot!" even when it was just okay, lean on your shoulder in safe rooms, and give high-fives after close calls.

Francis

Physical Touch & Acts of Service

How he shows it: Francis doesn’t say much about his feelings, but he’s a physical protector. He’ll shove you behind him if danger’s near, keep a hand on your shoulder to guide you, or casually sling an arm around you when walking.

Will mock everything except you, call you “alright” as the highest compliment, and keep you in his line of sight at all times.

Coach

Acts of Service & Words of Affirmation

How he shows it: He’s a caretaker by nature. Always making sure you’ve eaten, hydrated, and have ammo. Constantly checking in with warm, encouragement, and never letting anyone talk down to you.

Will hand you resources before taking for himself, and shields you from blame if something goes wrong.

Rochelle

Acts of Service & Words of Affirmation

How she shows it: Rochelle looks out for everyone equally, but if she likes you, she’ll quietly make sure you’re taken care of—covering your back while you reload, throwing a Molotov to clear your way, or making sure you get the first aid kit.

Will give soft, direct compliments (“You’re killing it out there”), and checks in on you when things get tense.

Ellis

Words of Affirmation & Quality Time

How he shows it: Ellis wants to spend as much time with you as possible, talking, joking, and telling wild Keith stories just to keep your mind off the danger. He’s a verbal cheerleader in firefights.

Will point out funny signs, try to make you laugh in the middle of chaos, and follow your lead without hesitation, gets upset if separated from you for to long.

Nick

Gift Giving & Quality Time (Disguised)

How he shows it: Nick’s version of “gifts” is tossing you extra ammo, handing over adrenaline, or grabbing loot for you without saying a word. He acts aloof, but if you’re stuck with him, you’ll find he subtly adjusts his pace to match yours.

Will act like it’s your fault he’s protecting you (“You’d just get yourself killed without me”), but he’ll reload faster when you’re in trouble.

McGriddles Left 4 Dead Headcanons Part 2 Electric Boogaloo

the theme today...the gang goes to conventions...anime conventions. furry conventions mentioned too. this one is self indulgent as fuck :3 pics attached are the cosplays I think they'd do <3

Nick - He usually just "ghosts" conventions for a day unless it's one several friends go to or that has a good room party scene, really just goes to cons for the room parties or socializing but will ALWAYS get drunk and attend the karaoke panel as well as after dark panels. Has a few simple but very well made cosplays, all commissions, and usually popular characters because he loves the attention. Attempts a Tony Soprano cosplay and gets upset he doesn't get recognized. He gets away with not wearing wigs or doing makeup because of his face card <3 Always hosts a chill room party with a small group of friends and brings a traveling wet bar for mixing drinks. Gets invited to lots of other room parties and gets drunk as hell, even blacks out once and gets in a fist fight before getting arrested in full cosplay. (There's always one at every con!) Doesn't face any repercussions from this. One year the local con shares the space with a furry con and he gets invited to some furry room parties, where he promptly gets black out drunk again but this time wakes up in his hotel room with no recollection of the night before. He's forever curious about fur cons after that but takes that to the grave.

As if this isn't already self indulgent enough, I also like to imagine him having a Berserk Guts cosplay....I haven't seen it I just like to imagine him in Guts armor ever since a youtuber animated him in it (⁄ ⁄•⁄ω⁄•⁄ ⁄)

Coach - The BEST con dad ever, actually. He's not into anything geeky himself but he's just happy to see his kids having a good time, and does enjoy seeing some of the big, professional cosplays. Gets super excited about Star Wars cosplays. Takes lots of pictures of his family and would do a family group cosplay so long as he didn't have to wear a wig or makeup or anything crazy. He gets told he should cosplay Chef from South Park regularly, which always pisses him off lol. He always gets a lot of snacks from the dealers dens (those little cheesecake breads? to die for). He's the type to notice if someones getting harassed and always steps in if needed. I love families cosplayin together, it's so precious ToT

Ellis - Wouldn't go out of his way to go to a convention at first but if a friend invited him he would LOVE it, probably wears something that gets him mistaken for some generic video game man but he loves the attention because beautiful people gas him up and ask for photos with him. He's more into gaming but loves a few of the classic animes like DBZ and Naruto, wouldn't cosplay them though. He loves cosplays that he can get into roleplaying as and plays the part when people recognize him. Not really into making anything for his cosplays so he either does something simple or a friend would have to make it for him. Also does meme cosplays if friends do it with him. He gets invited to a lot of room parties and ends up sloppy drunk most of the time, but never blacks out. He does usually wake up on the floor though, not always in his own hotel room lol. Ellis is not a furry but has tried on a fursuit head and paws and loved it.

Rochelle - Only went to a con in the first place to help a friend at their artist alley booth but actually had a great time and starts going to her local con yearly with a small friend group. Not really into gaming outside of Sims but she has a few animes that she loves, as well as loving Studio Ghibli movies, Kiki's Delivery Service is her favorite. Doesn't go out of her way to cosplay but will join in on group cosplays if it's easy enough to put together. She's a kuromi girlie and usually wears that cosplay at least once during any con she goes to. All her friends do a Resident Evil cosplay group one year and she's sold on doing Ada Wong cosplay because of the dress and absolutely loves it. I think she would enjoy J-Fashion and eventually wears those sorts of outfits to cons, like the last pic. She deserves more fun alt vibes <3

Zoey - Has been going to cons since she was a teenager and always goes with a big friend group. Definitely the kind of group fitting too many people in one hotel room, boiling hot dogs and ramen in the hotel coffee pot to save money as broke college kids, but they still have a great time. She goes all out with cosplays when she's got the time, has even won a couple of awards in cosplays contests. She hates the sewing part and prefers focusing on making cool props, foam armor or doing SFX makeup. Queen of con crunch, will finish a whole set of foam armor the night before the con. Only cosplays stuff from horror or video games unless the group cosplays an anime. Someone in the group makes vlogs of their con shenanigans and posts them to Youtube even though they only get like 100 views.

Louis- Has been going to cons the longest out of anyone, his parents were also huge nerds who loved going to cons so he got an early start. They still go even later in life as well as volunteering behind the scenes in various positions. They did the CUTEST family cosplays. They've even been to some of the bigger cons like Dragoncon and NYCC. He remembers the days of yaoi paddles and The Game. Keeps all of his con badges and lanyards as momentos, his parents have scrapbooks filled with con books, photos and the like. He has a HUGE social circle in the con scene due to being in it so long and also because he's helped a lot of people with cosplays at the con. He keeps a cosplay repair kit on him at all times. He volunteers at local cons and works on the IT team, also probably hosts some panels or photoshoots about whatever series he's fixated on at the time. He ALWAYS runs a Valve photoshoot and cosplays either Demoman or Gordon Freeman. Also great at making cosplays and leans towards ones where he can incorporate LEDs, Coding, or some kind of engineering component. Either goes all out with something intricate, or he'll pick something simple but go hard on the details and/or have some cool prop to go with it. I'm imaging all of this around the later 2000s like in game BUT if he made it to 2011 he would take his 3DS everywhere and check streetpass religiously. He's THE con mom friend, reminds everyone to drink water and enforces the 5-3-1 rule on his friend group. Brings the best snacks, electrolyte drinks and hangover aliments. He drinks at cons but never over does it, usually ends up taking care of someone who did though lol. Also he's a furry but in a chill low key way, he has a pitbull fursona and a full suit. Only goes to the local furcon and meets and has a pretty small furry friend group. Very rarely talks about it outside of said friend group.

His fursuit looks something like this but it's brindle and white with floppy, uncropped ears, probably just uses Louie or Lou as his furry name :3 He is one of the infamous "suspiciously wealthy" furries lol. Tips artists handsomely when he commissions art.

Francis - Exclusively goes for the late night scene at local cons because a friend of his got him into it, probably just sneaks in or steals a badge lol. Raves, room parties, after dark panels, cosplay burlesque show, hanging out and shootin shit in the lobby. Probably gets almost black out drunk, high as hell or a third sillier thing. Also probably who Nick got in the fist fight with (and he whooped Nicks ass </3) He lovessss to cosplay the big buff men of horror, people love it and he gets stopped for pictures all the time. He also likes fucking with people while in cosplay lol. Genuinely terrifying if he catches you along in a hallway. He was a scare actor in high school so he's a little too good at scaring folks lol.

Bill - Grandpa Bill is the only one that can take the grandkids to the convention so he gets dragged into it lmao. The most he would get involved would be asking a cosplayer for a lighter for his cigarette or taking pics of the kids if they asked. Sorry Bill stans, I still love him dough <3

Left 4 Dead 2 Survivor dating head-canons!

Hello anon, and I'd be delighted to and thank you for enjoying the work I put out! I don't have a clever quip to throw in this time so without further a-do, here are your head canons.

Nick

He's an asshole to everyone, but he's soft when it comes to you. Especially if you don't pick up on sarcasm like everyone else.

He'd never try to yell or raise his voice at you like he would with others too. Nick is patient and holds up on you when you start to lag behind

It's a surprising display of intimacy that has the others making eyes at him and looking smug. 'Didn't think you had it in ya, Nick'.

He smiles a little more, and tries to be romantic in spite of the setting.

It's the little things that make the world go 'round, and he's got a knack for doing them for you, intentionally or not.

Needed pills for something? He's got you covered, even if he thought he needed them more.

Instead of giving you your share of compliments and nick names, he'd point out your habits and say that they're cute and call you other names: 'I think it's really cute how you play with your hair when thinking about something' / 'Alright let's get out of here stinky'

Ellis

He is the sweetest guy.

He loves telling stories to you, and he always plays them up to try and make you laugh.

Ellis will take you sight seeing around Savannah, or try and take you out to a fancy date he's prepared(beer on the roof top)

He likes to show you off or brag that he has you as his S/O.

"Damn I'm so lucky to have you, y'know"

He will get sad if he's separated from you for too long, and hope that you're okay whenever you two get separated from each other for whatever reason.

He's a hugger, and will often reach his arms around to hug you from behind whenever he has the chance.

Says "I love you" a lot. Do not fight him on this because he'll just keep saying he loves you more or hit you with a "nuh-uh"

Nick gets tired of this whenever it happens.

Rochelle

She's the boss when it comes down to it, stubborn as a mule but if you're really against something she'll hear you out on it.

If Nick says some shit to you, she'll whip something witty right back at him that makes him either scoff or shuts him right up.

Rochelle beams at you whenever you save her from one of the special infected, hyping you up with that gorgeous smile of hers.

"Yep, that's mine right there", as you help her up.

She likes to bring you little gifts here and there, especially when you need them without ever asking for them out loud.

"Here, I thought you might need this", and she presses it into your hands with a small smile as she looks up into your eyes

She is likes to hold your hand as you two travel, or have your pinkies intertwined when you need to break away for a fight

She likes to press her back against yours, feeling safe that you've got hers when it comes down to it.

Rochelle thinks you're a lot cooler than you may let yourself believe

Coach

He's right behind you every step of the way, and will lift you up anyway he can. Except for literally, he might hurt his back if he tries to do that.

The two of you eat good, even for the apocalypse, he won't let you eat nothing trashy but also nothing that will put either one of you in a theoretical ER.

Will pull you off to the side if he sees that you're feeling down or are bummed out about something.

He's real good at talking with you about things

Absolutely loves giving you little kisses on the top of your head or your hands, anywhere he can really

His love language is words of affirmation(I am so sure on this)

Likes to praise you, congratulating you on good shots and a bit more lenient with you when you make bad ones.

Coach is endearing though, never the "ooh now personally I wouldn't have done that" kinda comments.

He likes to guide your hands when he steps behind you, "try it like this"

He likes to hold you close in his arms, and letting you listen to his heart as you two rest up.

"Everything's gon' be alright baby, I've got ya"

Quick headcanons for Rochelle

↬ Rochelle is the shortest of all the survivors. Using my headcanon height for Zoey (5′6″/5′7″), I like to think Ro is about 5′4″.

↬ SHE IS AN AMAZING SINGER, NO DOUBTS!

↬ Ro is also the scariest of the survivors. Ellis and Louis are slightly frightening when they get mad, but Rochelle takes the cake. She’s usually so mom-like to them that when she really gets mad, hell freezes over.

Quick headcanons for Francis

⇝ Francis is not actually a big tough guy. He’s real soft, but struggles to show it because he thinks that the men have to be strong always.

⇝ He’s also hella depressed, but tries to keep his head held high so no one will know it

⇝ DAD! BIG DAD MAN! HE’S THE DAD! Bill is the grandpa and he’s the dad.

Quick headcanons for Francis and Rochelle

➭ They sing duets! A lot! And it’s great!

➭ Constant berating of the other survivors for being fools. Parent mode: activated.

➭ Francis teaches Rochelle about cars and whatnot while Ro teaches Francis how to sew! They learn valuable skills from each other and it’s blessed.

🍲 Gush about your f/o’s cooking

SOOOO I don't think this man would cook really at ALL pre-infection...he'd be an air fryer guy lol and it'd be difficult to cook much at all in a zombie apocalypse BUT I think he'd get pretty good at throwing stuff together! He'd get really good at cooking things like stir fry and omelets, really any egg based recipes since we'd have...so many eggs. I think he'd love cooking omurice when he learned about it, there'd be something satisfying about getting that yolky omelet made just right. Would also be great at seasoning, dehydrating and grilling fish (which I imagine us having access to bein on the coast). He really only does basic cooking but he does it all exceptionally well. Oh and he makes the BEST moka pot coffee, he wouldn't let anyone else be on coffee making duty because he's the only one that gets it just how he likes it lol.

🎁 Gush about a gift from your f/o

He's not one to give gifts much at all, but if he comes across something that he's 100% sure one of the others will love he'll grab it for them. He's the kind of guy that has insane attention to detail, and I'd mention red pandas being my favorite animal in passing at some point (probably crying about all the animals stuck in zoos if we passed one, I'd draw one to show him what they looked like outta excitement cause he'd never have seen one before lol) and he'd remember that. Much much later down the line, he'd come back from a scavenging trip with a sneaky lil grin before handing me this lil red panda plush keychain that he found by some lucky chance. I'd definitely be crying over it and he wouldn't let me live that down lol

Canon-related headcanons

➤ We all know Nick is involved in some shady shit, including gangs. It is to my belief that members of said gangs are forced to learn skills that don’t seem to be out of the ordinary, but are used for all the wrong purposes. Case in point, Nick (and Francis, for that matter) knows ASL as it makes silent communication in public a little easier. (I also use this headcanon for how Nick deals with Prim for the first time when she really pushes him over the edge and signs some very colorful threats at her, much to her surprise.)

➤ In the occurrence of The Passing campaign, when our survivors first meet the game 1 survivors, Nick recognizes Francis instantly (and vice versa), which is why he isn’t quiet about his hatred for the biker. They have a bad history and Nick was hoping Francis wouldn’t make it.

➤ Despite what he says and how much he interrupts Ellis, the conman in white is very curious and entertained by the country boy’s stories. He’ll never admit it, though, but he thinks it’s a good way to ignore some of the horrors they’ve faced.

➤ He has medical experience, but not just from taking care of himself. He was gonna be a doctor, but dropped outta medical school after the whole gang thing.

Personal headcanons (misc)

➤ Nick is bi. Still in the closet about it, but bi.

➤ He might not respect the law in general, but when it comes to individuals upholding the law, he’s all respect.

➤ He wants more tattoos (colored or not)

➤ Nick enjoys being cared for, but enjoys caring for others even more (he’s soft)

➤ His favorite food is sugar cookies

➤ He likes coffee over tea, and Monster Energy over coffee

Midst of the apocalypse headcanons

⇢ Coach lost his sight during the bombings in New Orleans⇢ He “assigned” each survivor jobs during breaks between running (Nick creates a perimeter, Ellis finds food, so on and so forth) and would rotate these assignments⇢ Even though he’s the leader, he doesn’t like to think of himself as above the others. Rather, he likes the idea of being the team’s dad, who knows these survivors are his equals and only wants what’s best for everyone.⇢ Coach pushed Rochelle out of the way of an oncoming Charger and received several totally badass scars as a result of this. (Nick, consequently, picks on Rochelle whenever he sees a Charger and nearly lost his life because Coach finally had enough of it)⇢ Post him going blind, he learned how to listen for shifts in the movement of the Common, which alerted him to the potential threat of multiple Tanks⇢ He knows the full names of each of the survivors (including the group from the bridge), but is sworn not to reveal the information⇢ He lied to Nick about not knowing how to shoot (only said it to get under the conman’s skin)⇢ Coach also knows other survivors (he met them), but won’t tell who or where they are

Misc headcanons

⇢ Coach is an ally for the LGBT community⇢ Coach knows ASL⇢ He teaches the children who were brought into the new society (probably on an island somewhere or based in Antartica) post the events of the games⇢ He taught the members of the military who went back to find more survivors how to listen for the distinct calls of the Specials⇢ Coach came from a single parent household (his mom died when he was 15)⇢ Coach went to college and majored in business⇢ He openly despises CEDA and secretly despises the military
