In recent discussions of diversity, or lack thereof in the publishing industry, the conversation has focused most on the number of marginalized writers who do get published, but now the conversation is shifting towards the gatekeepers of the industry, and the lack of diversity when it comes to those behind the scenes of the publishing industry. NPR’s CodeSwitch writer Jean Ho discusses how this is changing, and the continued need for change with those in the industry.
