Dear Angels

For those of you who read my rant and would like to watch the video where I mostly got the inspiration to write it from. Been meaning to write something about him lately but tonight it was truly bothering me.
Wow
I love how I post the amazing and inspirational story about Josh Hamilton and all someone does it correct my flaws. From the video I am second it seemed as though both his parents died but I guess I was wrong. They apparently both recovered from their injuries.
Josh Hamilton
Honestly, this guy is an absolute inspiration. Everything was taken away from him at once. Both of his parents faced severe injuries in a tragic car accident. He as well was suspended from baseball because of his alcohol and drug problem. It got to the point where Josh didn’t know who he was anymore. He lost the support of his wife and he was left alone. He turned to God and made a complete 180 turn around. He started playing in the minors once more and then was signed by the Texas Rangers to play pro ball once again. His wife returned to him and she is the one that continues to keep him grounded and support him. I hope those who despise him because of his innocent words, proclaiming that Arlington is a football city rather than a baseball one, can have the heart to get past that. Those who are Rangers fans have his jersey in their closet and were probably his biggest fans that have now become his worst enemies. No matter what, even if a player is traded, you treat them with the same respect as any other player on your team. They were once a part of yours so embrace and be happy that he has found a new home with another team. Don’t be bitter. After overcoming all these immense obstacles in his life Josh got a tattoo to serve as a reminder. It is a list on this outer bicep reading: Priorities and underneath there is a list of these things: God, Humility, Family, Sobriety, and Baseball. Baseball has an * next to it and at the bottom of the list it reads: Impossible without numbers 1-4. I am absolutely in love with that tattoo of his and really proclaims a new beginning for him as a Christian and a ball player. This man is an inspiration and I’m incredibly happy that he has found a home with my Angels for the next couple of years. Embrace the player for who they are and the talents that they possess. There may be more to the story than you think.
Top 100 MLB Players 2013 #1 - LF Mike Trout
Opening Day starter
Angels @ Dodgers ST notes 2/28/13
Today your Angels took on their cross town rival LA Dodgers in a spring training match up at Camleback Ranch, with starter Jerome Williams facing off against past Cy Young winner and club ace Clayton Kershaw. Williams who was in the mix for the 5th spot but now looking as a long reliever in the bullpen faced a Dodgers lineup who had a few of their regular guys like Mark Ellis, Luis Cruz, AJ Ellis, and Andre Ethier. Things started off well for the halos with Mark Trumbo scoring Howie Kendrick on a LF single in the top of the 1st, but the Dodgers' 3B Luis Cruz answered back with a 2 run home run off the left field foul pole. Then in the bottom of the 3rd the Dodgers put up a three spot on a pair of singles from Alfredo Amezaga (scoring AJ Ellis, and Nick Punto) and Mark Ellis (scoring Amezaga).
Meanwhile Kershaw dominated as he does, only allowing 2 ERs, 6 Hs, with 7 Ks. Jerome Williams left the game after two innings with a line of: 4 ERs, 5 Hs, and 1 SO. The final for the game was 10-8 Dodgers.
Tomorrow the Angels take on the Dodgers once again in Tempe. It is reported that the halos will have a number of familiar faces and fan favorites making their way in the lineup including Mike Trout, Josh Hamilton, and Angels Opening Day starter Jered Weaver making his spring debut.
Now the Angels have dropped to 0-5-2 in the early days of spring training after today's loss, but I wouldn't put much stock into their record. I've spoken with a few fans who are concerned with the club's record but I've been telling them the same thing over and over. Spring training isn't about the records or the stats, coaches are concerned with getting guys AB's, innings, and reps. Most of these guys are just getting back into shape after a long off season and are nowhere near regular season form. I hate to say it, but a lot of the players in Sosh's lineup won't even see a big league field this season :::cough cough Efren Navarro::: and they are the ones getting the majority of the action. So, with a month still left until Opening Day, don't panic halo honks. Our boys will get into the swing of things and be ready for one of the greatest seasons in Angels history. I expect our halo to stay lit for quite sometime this year.
