Minwoo frowned as he read the letter for the tenth time that day, sitting back in the Starbucks sipping from a latté. His mother was kind, she was right perhaps, he had to let go. But how could he if he saw his sister every time he closed his eyes? Every time he turned his head? The demon did not wish to share his issues with Jonghyun who was already burdened enough with his own fried brains. Minwoo had to stay the sane one in the relationship, even if he had to pretend. Chapped lips were touched by his tongue, the sweet taste of overpriced coffee engulfed his taste buds.
"You don't have to be sorry, I am sorry. I really am, I should not have mourned her when you were so young. Too young to understand. But you know? Her roses still bloom seven times a year, which is really a lot for demonic roses! They are from the royal shop but I still think it is amazing- Don't you? Why don't you bring your friends and your fiance over for Christmas?"
His mother knew most of his friends were very much not demons. He tried to imagine Jonghyun, Jieun, Jaejoong, Min Jun, Youngmin and Jeongmin all in his mothers living room. The thought was terrifying and amusing at the same time.
"Please do not disappear my love. I am afraid that if you do find her, you will be stuck where ever she is. I can not lose my only child left. And think about Jonghyun. He lost all his family, didn't he? You are everything he has."
The demon folded the letter and placed it in his pocket, glaring at the window where people passed by. He sighed, and then he saw her again. But she was so clear, hand on the window and his heart stopped, a puff of air escaped him and he froze on the spot before he jumped up, running out of the establishment with the coffee in his hand. She was in front of him, walking away, running away. "Eun Bin! Eun Bn!" he called out, ignoring humans glaring at him as he tried to get to his sister.
She turned left, into an alley. Minwoo wanted to turn too, running into a male that seemed vaguely familiar. "Hey didn't I see you at the aca- wait nevermind, I have other things to d- what the fuck." He stared into the alley, it was dark in there, darker than it should be and a bright blue portal was in the back. A blue light that seemed to move like the eye of an tornado. It didn't look like any portal he had ever seen.
"Are you seeing that too?" He asked the male next to him as he saw the shade of his sister disappear into the portal. "Fuck. Here have some coffee." He pushed the latte into the hands of the other as he stepped forward towards the portal.
