The statement carrying a positive connotation stand in opposition to a countenance that's at best neutral; raised eyebrows fit his voice better than the actual words he's speaking, and if Nikolai was observing himself saying that, the first word that would come to his mind would be contradiction.

A moment passes, and he directs his glance towards the woman, asking: "Won't it break too early, though?" The answer is obvious -- has been from the very moment he has been presented this trinket, this delicate frame -- but he inquiries nonetheless.

I get a kick out of the idea that theodora might refuse to believe torrie is a methuselah. Or if she does she's just like. Theodora: "act your age." Torrie: "what's a matter you square? Am I too funky fresh for you?"

"Why so many questions, you wishin' someone'd say creepy mushy shit about you?" He looked at her hand for a moment, before rolling his eyes and giving in- offering the carton for her to take one. "You need a soul in the first place for people to compliment it."

Torture

Put a word in my ask and I will write a Headcanon about it for my Muse.

TORTUREActual torture, Numbers is actually fairly, like, against? He’ll do it, but won’t be too happy about it. Call him soft, but he’d rather just get the information he needs, slap his victim around a bit, murder them, and go home. Much more is just overkill. Light torture, though, he’s fine with. Take Lester for example. Find his weaknesses, work with that. Hand is injured and gangrenous? Apply pressure, wait for him to talk. Or shove a dirty sock in his mouth. It’s more cat and mouse than wood chipper and mouse, he just wants them to suffer, he doesn’t want to take their toes or anything.
