“I’ve never necessarily been the person to give people the benefit of the doubt, but... sometimes I suppose it might be worth it,” She grimaced a bit, but why had she brought that up? She might never know. “People are hard to trust. Who knows what anyone is ever thinking... and honestly, I don’t know if I want to know half the time. Minds of others are a scary place.” She’d been burned enough in her life to just feel that it was safe to say that she didn’t care for the idea of blind trust, and she was inherently difficult to get to know by now. When you considered how she ended up getting black out drunk and married to a guy who she was dating, who would disappear on her and mail her the divorce papers several months later, well. It was safe to say she felt she had a reason to be so standoffish.
