[closed RP] growing up
There was only one topic of conversation left in the school: universities. Everyone was talking about where they were applying to, how they thought their extracurricular activities would add to their applications, what topics they’d written on for their application essays and how their parents were hovering. The only person who didn’t take part in those discussion was Talon. He wasn’t going to university. He wasn’t going to be able to afford it and even if he could, his grades were far too low. He barely scraped above passing in most of his classes, the only exception being math. He had no extracurricular activities besides killing people which, if he put it down on an application, would get him admitted to jail instead of school. His future wasn’t up in the air, waiting for word for some university. His future was to stay right here, keep killing and eventually get killed. His future was diverging from Vladimir’s. Vladimir was rich, Vladimir got good grades, Vladimir would go off to college and forget all about Talon. If he felt like slumming, he’d find some other poverty-stricken teenager to lure into his bed with good food and the promise of a safe, warm place to sleep. There was no shortage of teenagers who needed money and besides, Vladimir was attractive. Fucking him wasn’t a hardship. He passed through the hallways, glowering like some vengeful spirit, and scowled at the happy couples swearing forever to each other. Relationships carried over from high school to college hardly ever lasted. Those fools would break up soon enough. Talon and Vlad were just being more realistic about it than they were. At the end of the school day, he headed to Vladimir’s rather than his own place, letting himself in through a window so he could sprawl out on Vladimir’s bed and sulk. He took off his boots and socks first, kicking them under the bed, and tossed his jacket onto the desk chair. Vladimir had after school activities. Talon could nap while waiting for him.
