Well, just got off the phone with Hershey's oncologist and the new items on the CT scan are not cancer. They are, however, some type of fungal or bacterial infection that has set in her lungs. They can not operate while this is the case, so they are putting her on 2 weeks of antibiotics. Definitely a rattlesnake bite and the vet is amazed that she surived the night. She is a tough old girl. They will have to keep her for at least 1 night and it will take probably 2 vials of antivenom. After that they will see if there will be any lasting effects. She got bitten on the lip. I property have the one that did it in my freezer. This time her vet bill will be around 3k. Ouch! She didn't want to leave me when they where lifting her out of the truck. They just took her into the Vet ER. Her swelling continued to spread while we where sitting here. I will have to probably replace my seats in my truck because if the stomach acid went through the perforation in the leather i will never get it out. It smells so bad.
