to explain my train of thought fully— silk can be used to make life, but it HAS to be formed around something to make it so. like uhhh. when people use foil to fill out a model!

it makes sense to me for her to have a "robotic" form underneath the silk. it just feels correct!

anyway she and Hornet should kiss passionately.

Updated Lace design! I like this more than my initial concept. Here is what I have for her so far

Her inner workings are needle felted with light and tough but thin metal armature holding everything together, like a stiff but somewhat flexible skeleton of needle felted bones. Threaded through the armature is silk, to tie everything together and allow movement, so she's jointed a bit like a BJD, with the silk running through her allowing her to move fluidly.

On the outside of the needle felted skeleton is silk in the form of something like cotton filling, voluminous and soft, with her skin, made of several layers of finely woven silk fused together for strength, holding it all in place. More strands of silk act as fur, attached to the outermost layer of her skin, like a really soft faux fur, added in to make her look fluffy and soft.

She was made to be the eternal soft pretty little daughter of Grand Mother Silk, so she's like a beautiful, soft, cushy little doll but with the fierce ability to fight. Sometimes she seems very young, sometimes very old; in reality, she's ageless. She's a living doll.

This means she has claws made of metal, as well as metal teeth.

Her face is needle felted in great detail, with lips, eyelids, eyelashes to make her look pretty with golden markings, and her eyes are made of luminous glass. She can emote and change her expression due to how her face is constructed. Her legs are not as thick as they look, a lot of that is fluff. Her fur is *insanely* soft. She may be made of silk, but it's very tough, supernatural silk. She's not nearly as fragile and delicate as she looks.

But, seriously, this is an old creature of mine, from a species that were called (I think) terrachneans. They are closer in species to silkworms than spiders, I don't remember the details, but I'm writing more.
