Lacecap hydrangea, blue/pink/purple
Flowers From Our Garden - Summer Hydrangeas - Ajisai
Three years ago, I started growing some of the newer varieties of hydrangeas then available in Japan. In particular some pink, red, and purple varieties. I lost some to the boars last season - in their frenzy to eat the 160 tulip bulbs I had planted.
While there is not a tulip anywhere in our garden, some of the hydrangeas survived, and this year I have been rewarded with an amazing variety of flowers and colors.
Some are the traditional mop heads that were here before us, some are the lace caps I planted in our first year, and some are the mountain varieties from three years ago.
almost done with a lil project (by almost done i mean like halfway)
