Upon request, it's finally here! A few months ago I had the opportunity to shoot with my talented friend Mark and we collaborated on a ‘mystical magical forest’ photo shoot (previous post). I decided to create laced bunny and minnie ears for the occasion, with a more costume-esque look.

After receiving some amazing feedback and multiple DIY tutorial requests, I decided to put this tutorial together for you with 5 different styles in which you can create your own laced ears.

I specially wanted to share this tutorial right before 'Beyond Wonderland,'  to give my raver babes some costume ideas and inspiration for the music festival.

These headpieces are also great for this upcoming Halloween, for those of you who don't necessarily want to wear something elaborate, but still be festive.

Overall the tutorial is very easy and incredibly inexpensive to make. I hope you guys enjoy this tutorial and channel your inner queen, mystical forest diva of your own.

I’m a sucker for a good photo shoot, specially when costumes are involved. A few months ago I had the opportunity to shoot with my talented friend Mark and we collaborated on this ‘mystical magical forest’ look. 

I had been seeing similar laced headpieces all over Pinterest for a few years now, so of course, I wanted to take a dab at coming up with my own interpretation. 

I have found that often times, the simpler the better when it comes to captivating a theme. My main focus was of course the laced bunny ears for the shoot. I wanted the attention to go to the detail of my face and give off a ‘mysteries’ almost ‘enchanting’ feeling to those looking at the photograph. 

I know art is open to interpretation, but I did this shoot around a crucial point in my life, the start of becoming, growing into a more spiritual person. I was also dealing with a recent broken heart and carried this intense sense of ‘finding new inner strength’ once more. 

I hope you guys enjoy these photographs as much as I did styling and creating the costume headpiece. I will be posting a DIY tutorial to the lace bunny ears in a few minutes, so please do channel your inner queen, mystical forest diva of your own.
