I just found your blog and I'm in love. Bat family is beautiful. Do you have any tips for someone who wants to understand the Bat verse but doesn't know where to begin with comics/games? (I was raised on the 80s-90s animated series)

Thanks for your beautiful message! Oh boy oh boy, there’s lots of options for you out there. If you look up recommended reading lists for Batman, there’s several that are pretty good primers. I feel like if you are truly just starting, Frank Miller’s Year One is the first you could read, followed by Long Halloween and Dark Victory. Then you can pick and choose from there, or at least that’s what I ended up doing haha. A lot of the Batfam members have their own series, too, so if you find one you really like or are curious about, you can stick with them and still get a sense of what Batdad is up to since there’s always crossovers and character interactions. There are some continuity changes between titles that were released before 2011 and after because of DC’s New 52 (now there’s REBIRTH, but that is a totally different story), but don’t let that stop you!

Game-wise, I’ve only played the one and only Arkham trilogy :) Arkham Asylum is the first one if you want to dive into the awesome. I hope I helped a bit!
