"Nothing's real," said the Lacewing King. "The honeycomb is empty." "Not /quite/ empty," said the bird, devouring another firefly. "But vengeance is like honey, my King. So sweet: so rare; so precious."

Sketched some bug fairies/people today! Inspired by the book Honeycomb by Joanne M. Harris, which I just started reading. I’m really liking it so far. Imagining what the Lacewing King and all the other fairy insects look like is very entertaining. Especially species that aren’t mentioned in the book, like this crazy gum-leaf skeletoniser caterpillar I found today.
