Ayaka Hamasaki vs Lacey Schuckman
Former Invicta FC atomweight champion Ayaka Hamasaki (14-2) fell short in her attempt to move up to 115lbs to make the UFC. She’s looking to rebound off that KO loss to Livia Renata Souza in a brand new environment. Hamasaki will fight at Rizin 10 this Sunday (May 6) at 1:30am ET on Fite.tv. She will face off with Alyssa Garcia (3-4).

As Japan’s only representative in a recognizable North American promotion, Ayaka Hamasaki (13-1) is looking to continue her campaign over Invicta FC’s women’s atomweight division.
Coming off of a submission win over Amber Brown back in a title defense back in March, Hamasaki will look to defend again this Friday (Sept. 23rd) at Invicta FC 19 as she faces off with challenger Jinh Yu Frey (5-1) in the co-main event.

Invicta FC atomweight champion Ayaka Hamasaki (12-1) will return to the promotion after capturing the title back in July 2015 in a competitive fight with former champ Herica Tiburcio. And while Hamasaki won’t have Megumi Fujii in her corner this time out, it looks like she’s bringing Shootboxing star RENA to be in her corner.
Hamasaki will defend her title against Amber Brown (6-1), whom made a name for herself in Japan knocking off top ten 105-er Kikuyo Ishikawa. Hamasaki-Brown will serve as the main event of Invicta FC 16 this Friday (March 11th) on UFC Fight Pass.

What starts off as a fun, competitive grappling match shifts into Mizuki beating Schuckman up for two rounds on the ground before locking up an armbar on the 3rd of 4th attempt. Even showed some improved GnP in the process. It's crazy that she could have beat Grasso and KK if she had gone to the grappling sooner. It's probably her strongest weapon.

The last time former 115lb title contender Ayaka Hamasaki (11-1) stepped fought under the Invicta FC banner, she got ground out and beat down by Claudia Gadelha. I guess that fight served as a wake up call for Hamasaki as she has since dropped to 105lbs under the DEEP Jewels banner, winning two straight including a TKO win over Naho Sugiyama.
Hamasaki looks to be the first Japanese fighter to capture North American gold in a long while when she challenges Herica Tiburcio (9-2) on the Invicta FC 13 card going down this Thursday (July 9).
Predictable outcome but thought Liou would tough her way to the decision. Schuckman arguably beat Waterson a few years back but has been fighting as high as 125 leading to her meh record.
