Contains: Mentions of the cartel, drunk people, heavy flirting, fluff, implied stalking (Lalo be silly like that)
Pairing: Eduardo "Lalo" Salamance x Reader x Ignacio "Nacho" Varga
A normal person would feel guilty even considering what these two found themselves doing. Nacho maybe felt a bit guilty, but Lalo? Hell no. Nacho wrote it off as protecting Lalo from himself, denying any feelings that may have swayed his decision, while Lalo might have grown to be a bit obsessive a bit quick (But hey, that's Lalo). They had followed you just to get another taste, addicted to the sight of you.
You weren't even theirs. You entered El Michoacáno once, Lalo looked up ready to ask Nacho to shoo you out. He froze, lips parting in pure shock from your radiance. Returning from a long day of job interviews dressed in a suit/dress, you just wanted something to eat. When you caught the eye of whatever drug dealer was talking with Nacho, Lalo actually felt scared.
"Ignacio," he spoke swiftly. Nacho had never heard Lalo call him his actual name at work, it was something they saved for when they were at home. Nacho looked up from the wad of cash in his hand & noticed the man eyeing you.
Nacho shooed you out saying they were closed & you somehow hadn't noticed the extremely suspicious activities. Later that night you ran into the couple again, you presumed by coincidence but far from that. It was a fancy restaurant & you were going out with an old friend. You noticed Nacho first, he was admiring you from their table & turned away as you saw him. Knowing he was caught he got up & walked up to your table.
"Hello, I don't know if you remember me but you walked into the business I own earlier today & I ushered you out quickly. We were... talking about franchising & I just had to apologize, can I buy you a drink?"
Lalo had heard how smoothly his partner introduced himself as he was walking up a bit behind Nacho. "Ignacio, I'm going to grab us some wine. Red or white?" He pretended he wasn't just here to see you up close. "You don't have to buy me anything, sir. It's honestly not a problem."
"You can buy me a drink," your friend flirted, eliciting a chuckle from Nacho. "I truly wish to pay you back, can you allow me that?" With a bit more resistance you finally caved, "Alright sure. Thank you..." You trailed off, hinting that you wanted a name. "Ignacio, Ignacio Varga." You gave him a sweet smile, "Y/N L/N, nice to meet you, Ignacio."
You & your friend ended up moving to Lalo & Nacho's table, your friend flirting with them much more than you had. It didn't matter, you were already in their sights. Lalo laid the flirting on hard while Nacho was more discreet, asking more personal questions rather than simply bluntly admiring you. Among the banter, a question slipped that would forever change your fate, "Why were you all dressed up when you showed up at El Michoacáno anyways?"
Within moments of your explanation ending Lalo offered you a job. His "personal assistant" he said. Helping him with his businesses that he runs in Albaquerque & scheduling his meetings. Nacho gave Lalo a deadpan look, pulling you close to the cartel business was the last thing he wanted.
Lalo at this point was basically shitfaced & responds with, "Ignacio, are you afraid I'll like them more than you?" as he dragged out both the first & last words. Your face went flush, you couldn't deny that both men were insanely attractive though getting between them was not ideal.
Later that night, Lalo clung to Nacho's shoulder as Nacho offered you a ride home, seeing as he was the only non-drunk person out of the four of you. Your friend called shotgun & Nacho didn't want to argue so they sat in the front while Lalo sat in the back with you. Your friend unabashedly flirted at this point making it easy for Nacho to explain that he would drop them off first due to their behavior.
Lalo on the other hand, pulled you into a hug immediately. His big arms wrapped around your midsection & pulled you close before he conked the fuck out. If you knew Lalo you'd know this was an insanely rare moment. Not only where he'd allow himself to get so drunk but to the point where he'd sleep near someone he barely knew. Dare I say you were the first to see this. Hearing Lalo snore, Nacho realized you were special to his boyfriend.
When Nacho pulled up to your house he had to reach into the back & pull Lalo's tight grip apart to set you free. You quietly thanked him, completely flustered. He walked you to your front door & looked back at his partner who was still conked the fuck up.
"Lalo really sees something in you, I would love to see you take that job."
"I'd love to talk more about it, you two seem wonderful."
You two exchanged numbers & Nacho wished you goodnight before rushing to his now waking-up boyfriend.
"Goodnight Ignacio!" He couldn't help but smile at your response.
Summary: Lalo and Ignacio are a happily married couple with everything they could ever want a wonderful son a lavish lifestyle with an expensive business. But one piece was missing...you

[Part 1] | Part 2
Lalo & Ignacio sat in the former's study, trying their best to keep their argues to a whisper. They had convinced you they were going on a business trip that night. Inconspicuous, easy, nothing could go wrong. That's what Lalo told his husband over & over but Ignacio would not hear it.
"Fring has to know about Y/N, you know what he'll do. I don't want to leave them here!" He whisper yelled, shoulders tense & clear fear in his eyes.
"Ignacio, it will be two nights alone & my men will be here. If you don't remember, you two are married to a cartel don (CANON AHH), my people will keep them safe."
Ignacio shushed his husband, stopping his blatant gloating. He had three things he wanted to protect, his father, his husband & their partner. Ignacio knew Y/N was in danger.
"You think Fring cares about the cartel!? YOUR UNCLE KILLED HIS BOYFRIEND!"
Lalo jumped up & covered Ignacio's mouth. You heard yelling from the living room where you had been waiting for your partners to finish discussing. It was incoherent but the volume alone scared you. You walked briskly over to Lalo's study & knocked on the door. Lalo opened the door enough to reveal his signature Lalo smile.
"Sí, querida?" He asked cheerily.
"Are you guys okay?" You asked, genuinely worried.
Ignacio pushed past Lalo, opening the door fully, & held your face in both hands, "Yes, ángel, we just had a disagreement about one of Lalo's restaurants, El Michoacáno."
Ignacio placed a kiss on your lips & gave you a soft & terribly convincing smile. You couldn't help but melt.
"What does Lalo want to do with El Michoacáno?" You asked, looking past Ignacio to see your other partner.
"He wants to abandon it," Ignacio glared back at Lalo before walking off into the kitchen.
"Abandon is a strong word, mi corazón!" Lalo chased after him.
Lalo grabbed Ignacio's arm & he whipped around, poking angrily at Lalo, "If they," Ignacio took a gulp, "If your business gets hurt... that's on you!"
Ignacio ripped his arm away from Lalo & went outside, likely to work out his emotions. He wanted to stay home with you, to keep you safe, but Lalo insisted that Ignacio had to join him for this meeting. Being asked to choose between his partners is impossible, so in the end he told Lalo this would be the one time he left Y/N home by themself. Lalo thanked him too many times to count & promised you would be safe.
In what feels like a whole different world, but really is just across town, Gustavo Fring was planning. His best man, Mike Ehrmantraut, sat across him at his desk inside a Los Pollos Hermanos restaurant. Mike placed a set of photos on the table & spread them out all facing his boss. Gus took a long moment to take all the details in. The images were all of you. You at work, you at home, you in your backyard, & you at dinner with Lalo & Ignacio. Gus pulled the last photo close to him & picked it up. The three of you looked so happy. Nacho sat next to you in the booth, you sitting next to the large window allowing a clear view of each one of you. You were all dressed nicely & waiting for your food. You held one of each of your partner's hands.
"This is their partner?" Gus asked with a monotone voice.
"Yes, as far as I can tell they have been together for a long time. Y/N lives with them down on acapulco drive."
"Put your men on the house, when you find the right moment... take them."
"Alright," Mike replied, standing up.
Gus waited for Mike to open the door before speaking, "If there are any witnesses, kill them. This needs to be foolproof."
That night, Lalo brought both his own & Ignacio's bags to his car. Their meeting would be tomorrow morning, they'd stay the night for one of Eladio's parties & bring him gifts, then return home the next night. He heaved the bags into the trunk then closed it while Ignacio gave you a tight hug.
"I love you so much, Y/N. I'll miss you every second," he spoke into your hair as he ran his hand through it.
It was oddly sentimental like it was the last time he was ever going to see you. You brushed it off knowing it was just a trip to one of Lalo's restaurants in Mexico. Lalo turned with a huge smile on his face & Ignacio beelined to the passenger side door, still upset with his husband. Lalo pulled you to him with an arm wrapped around your waist causing you to blush.
"We'll be home as soon as we can, querida," he promised genuinely.
"I hope so, I love you both. It's going to be hard by myself."
"You'll do fine, call us if you need anything."
With that Lalo took a step back, kissing down your arm. With each kiss, he got a bit further away from you until he reached your hand.
"I love you," he smirked, giving you one last kiss on the hand before heading to the car.
You watched them pull out of the driveway, Lalo putting a comforting hand on his husband's thigh which was inevitably swatted at. You could hear Lalo's, 'Aye! That hurt!' from his cracked window as they drove off, causing you to chuckle. You let out a yawn before heading inside, ready to go to sleep after a long day.
Mike, who had heard the whole conversation from his car parked a bit down the street, lifted a walkie-talkie to his mouth, "Give it five minutes, if the coast is clear go in."
You got into some comfy clothes, one of Ignacio's shirts & Lalo's pants, & climbed into bed. You laid down in the middle of the large bed & pulled one of your partners' pillows to your chest. You already felt a bit sad that they were gone, letting out a soft sigh. It's okay, you'll make it. The door flung open causing you to lurch out of bed, four men with guns piled into the room pointing their guns & flashlights at you.
"What- Who are you?" Your voice trembled as you raised your arms above your heads.
One man walked up to you wordlessly & slammed his pistol into your head, effectively knocking you out. The man threw you over his shoulder & got behind two of the men, one behind him, & the group made their way out. They walked out of the house past a car with two of Lalo's men inside who were shot dead. You were bound & placed in the back of one of the cars that your assailants had come in. One of the men in the group left to dispose of the car & the bodies while the others headed off to Gus.
You woke up feeling immense pain in your forehead. You were trapped in a room with white walls & gray, concrete floors. You weren't bound any longer but you felt weak. You got up & walked to the door, turning the knob. It was locked. Panic raced through your body as you remembered the men in your home. You were kidnapped. They must have targeted you because they knew you were home alone, at least that's what you thought. A large, buff man entered the room & dragged you by the shirt into another room.
"No, please- don't do this," you begged as he grabbed your wrists, locking you into cuffs above your head.
"Shut up!" He grunted.
You obeyed, not wanting to get hurt any worse than he intended to hurt you. Hours & hours of grueling pain, you swore if there were windows it would be broad daylight by now. When the man uncuffed you, you fell to the floor. You couldn't bring yourself to stand up or even move, for that matter. He lifted you up to make you sit against the wall & pulled out a camera.
"Smile," he mocked before taking a picture, "Your husband is going to give me so much money for your dumbass."
A fabrication made to think you were just a ransom. Gus Fring had come up with such an intricate plan to weave himself into your life, it even scared Mike a little. Using you as a way to get into Lalo & Nacho's personal life with you on the verge of finding out about their real business as leverage, not to mention showing he could kill you if he wanted to. The man left the room, staring at his phone. He did exactly as he was told & left the door unlocked. Gus noticed, from behind a two-way mirror, that you had realized the door was unlocked.
"Nows your time to shine, Fring," the man walked into the adjacent room.
Gus nodded & walked out towards his car, turning it on & pulling out of the parking lot. You used all your strength to get up & hobble over to the door. You opened it & let out an airy laugh, you could escape this. You looked out into the hallway to see a door open to the outside, baiting you in that direction. You sprinted outside just as Gus pulled back into the parking lot. You begged him to open the door & he quickly leaned over & opened the passenger side door. You climbed in & ordered him to pull away. Once you couldn't see the plain white building in the distance you turned to Gus.
"Thank you so much."
"Are you okay?! What was that, why are you covered in blood?" Gus flawlessly put on a scared good samaritan act.
"I- this man took me. He- he-" You began to feel really dizzy.
"Are you alright, do we need to go to the hospital?"
"I- I think I'll be..." You fell forward, going limp.
Amazingly, just as Gus planned. He turned around & right back to the building. His man met him at the passenger side door & carried you inside & into a separate room. Dr. Barry Goodman, his doctor from Mexico, was flown in just for this to work. The man rested you on the hospital bed & Dr. Goodman gave you meds to knock you out. He watched the torture that you had been through, instructing the man to stop when he thought you'd be close to losing enough blood to pass out. Now he had to patch you up. He placed you on your back & peeled back your shirt, knowing you'd be in immense pain if you were awake. This was going to be a lot of work.
In Mexcio, around the time the doctor finished patching you up, Ignacio & Lalo were preparing for Don Eladio's party. Ignacio paced the room wiping sweat off his face.
"Qué ocurre, mi corazón? (What's wrong, my heart?)" Lalo asked as he buttoned his shirt.
"No respondieron a mis mensajes de texto (They did not respond to my texts)," Ignacio spoke softly, worry coursing through his veins.
Lalo grabbed Ignacio's shoulders & put on a reassuring smile, "¡Todo está bien! Estoy seguro de que están demasiado ocupados divirtiéndose (Everything is fine! I'm sure they are just too busy having fun)."
"¿Llamaste a tus hombres? (Did you call your men?)" Ignacio looked deep into Lalo's eyes, looking for either hope or comfort.
"Sí, sí, Ignacio. ¡Dijeron que nuestra querida está bien! (Yes, yes, Ignacio. They said our darling is fine!)" Lalo reassured his husband, pulling him into a hug, "You're too paranoid, go get dressed."
"Alright, te quiero (I love you)," Ignacio sighed before turning to his suitcase.
Lalo pulled out his phone feeling fear finally hit him. His men hadn't responded. He thought they were just ignoring his texts, he refused to believe any worse. He began furiously typing, 'Idiotas, contesten su teléfono. Necesito una actualización sobre la seguridad de mi pareja. (You idiots, answer your phone. I need an update on my partner's safety.)"
You woke up to the sound of a heart monitor beeping. You saw Gus on the other side of the small room, seemingly giving a police officer a summary of what happened to you. When the man dressed as a cop noticed you were awake, he walked to your side.
"Hello, Mx. can you tell me your name?"
"Y/N L/N."
"I'm sorry that we had to meet on such circumstances, Mx. L/N, but I need to know anything you know about the man that kidnapped you."
You told the man everything you remembered down to the mole on the guy's cheek. You noted the color of the building on the outside & any small detail that came to mind. The man nodded as you rambled, writing down the things you said.
"Alright, thank you Mx. L/N. We will find this man & bring him to justice. I have given Mr. Fring my number & I'll get you updates on the case through him."
You nodded & thanked the man, his weird method of communication made sense in your drugged up stupor. The doctor took the officer's place with a small bottle in hand. Gus walked to your other side.
"The doctor said you can go home after he gives you the medication you were prescribed. If you tell me where you live, I can drive you home."
"Umm, 712 Acapulco Drive. I don't have my keys but I think there's a spare key hidden under a rock," you blabbed.
"Mx. L/N, I'm going to give you some pain medication. They're going to make you really sleepy, alright? Then your new friend Gus will take you home," the man tried to make light of the situation while giving you Fring's name.
You nodded, feeling the meds hit you seconds later. You laid back in your hospital bed & let yourself fall asleep, believing you were in safe hands now. By the time Gus got you home it was late at night & Lalo had a bad feeling in his gut. He texted you that he & Ignacio were coming home. Gus had laid you down on the couch on your stomach & taken your phone & neglected opening any messages to avoid getting caught. Gus walked into the kitchen & made you a cup of tea, he heard you wake up when the pot went off.
"Gus?" You asked while sitting up on the couch.
"Yes? I thought I'd make you some tea, it always makes me feel better!" He gave you a cheery voice, the same he'd give his customers when he asked how their food was.
"Oh," you paused out of shock from the stranger's kindness, "Thank you."
The moment Gus stepped into the living room, the front door flung open, scaring you both. Lalo had his hand on his gun, which rested on his hip, hidden in the waistband of his pants. The world froze for Lalo. He pulled Ignacio behind him & analyzed every inch of you & Gus. Fring has tea in his hand, not a gun. You look more scared by him kicking open the door than you do Gus. You look tired out of your mind & in pain, was he hurting you? He decided to play it safe.
"Who are you?!" Lalo yelled, pretending he didn't know who Gus was.
You understood Lalo's fear, realizing you hadn't been able to check your phone. You walked up to him & placed your hand on his chest, feeling a racing heartbeat.
"This is Gus, he saved my life. Everything is okay, Lalo!"
Lalo dropped his hand from his gun, hoping you hadn't taken note of its existence. Ignacio stepped in front of you & cupped your face with his hands, something he had picked up as a nervous habit.
"What do you mean 'saved your life,' ángel?"
You felt a pit grow in your stomach as you prepared an explanation. Lalo walked up to you & wrapped an arm around your waist like usual, causing you to jump & cry in pain. Ignacio wrapped his arms around your head protectively as you cried, he glared at Gus.
"What happened?" Lalo asked as he stepped towards Gus, his voice having an eerily threatening tinge to it.
Ignacio whispered sweet nothings in your ear in an attempt to draw your mind away from the conversation as he led you to Lalo's study.
"Your partner was kidnapped, sir. They escaped bravely & hopped in my car. I took them to the hospital & brought them here," Gus explained, knowing you were still in earshot.
Ignacio used one arm to close the double doors to Lalo's study, always keeping one arm on your body to remind himself you were alive & at least okay. When the door shut loudly, Lalo's face dropped.
"What do you want, Fring?" he spat out his words like poison.
"I was just trying to be a good samaritan, help a fellow person in need," he gave Lalo the same customer service smile despite being alone with him now.
"What did you do to them?" Lalo would not let Gus keep up this facade.
"I only helped! I drove them to the hospital & contacted the police. I heard those kidnappers hurt them pretty bad though," Gus' last sentence stung, "I'm so sorry that happened, I'm just glad they got out."
"I could kill you right now & no one would know," Lalo's voice became gravelly from pure rage.
Gus looked off towards the study, letting his smile soften, "Y/N would know."
Lalo gritted his teeth. He could only imagine how upset Ignacio was with him. You were crying in his arms from the pain.
"The doctor gave me meds for the pain, I think Gus has them."
"Don't worry, ángel, I'll go get them. You stay here & don't move a muscle," Ignacio stood up & his heart ached as he let go of you. He didn't want to spend a second away from you, but he didn't trust Fring.
Ignacio walked out of the room, being met with his husband's death-wishing glare directed at Gus. He didn't dare turn his head, knowing he had already fucked up he intended to not let Gus out of his sight.
Ignacio held his hand out in front of Gus, "They said you had pain meds."
Ignacio seemed downright unamused & completely unphased. Gus took the medication out & placed it in Ignacio's hand. He gripped the small container, opened it, & poured one into his hand. Ignacio raised his hand a bit, holding eye contact with Gus.
"Take it," Ignacio spoke simply.
"Those are for your partner... for their back."
"I said take it," His voice never wavered from what can only be described as bored.
Gus shrugged his shoulders & swallowed the pill, "The doctor gave this to them, not me. Just oxycodone."
Ignacio studied Gus' face once more before turning on his heel & walking back to the study. Lalo waited until the doors closed once more to continue talking. Ignacio returned to his spot on the couch with you laying between his leg & on his stomach. He grabbed a bottled water from behind him without getting up & handed it to you.
He read the label out loud, "Alright, 10 milligrams every 12 hours with food. Have you eaten, ángel?"
"No," you groaned, "Not since the dinner Lalo made before you both left."
Ignacio was taken back to the moment he finally agreed to go with Lalo, when he was cooking that very dinner. If he just stayed, you would be safe right now. He hadn't even looked to see your bruises, possibly just pretending you were never bruised.
"What did you do to my men?" Lalo asked, already assuming the answer.
"What men?" Gus asked innocently.
With that, Lalo grabbed Gus by the jacket & pulled him outside, throwing him onto the grass. He pulled out his gun & pointed it at Gus, the man on the floor quickly raising his hands to protect his face.
"There, I don't know if you're afraid of cameras or what! Tell me what happened or so help me I will shoot you & tell Y/N you went home!"
Gus stood up silently & patted the dirt off his pants. He looked up into Lalo's eyes, his smile finally fading to a deadpan look.
"Your men are dead, my men disposed of them."
"Why didn't you just kill Y/N?" Lalo was now poking around for information.
"Would you rather I did?" Gus caught on immediately.
Lalo sighed, "Give me the name of the man that hurt them & I will consider not telling Eladio."
"Don't lie to me, Lalo. You'll tell Eladio either way, you can at least say that to my face. But as a sign of goodwill, Brian Clarke. There's an e at the end of Clarke."
"Goodwill? You kidnapped my partner! How is that goodwill, huh?" Lalo asked, taking a step towards Gus & placing his gun into his waistband once more.
"Sometimes we have to do things we don't want to-"
Lalo could not take any more of this bullshit & punched Gus in the face, "Oh, I'm so sorry. That looks like that will leave a mark."
Lalo, once again, grabbed Gus by the shirt & dragged him inside. He threw the poor man to the sink the moment he realized he had a bloody nose. He pushed a roll of paper towels in his direction. The sound of Ignacio trying to convince you to go back in the study made Lalo turn his head for a second before stepping back to keep both the area you were coming from & Gus in view.
"Querida! Did the pain meds work?" He tried to sound positive in a caring way, it was hard in the moment.
"Yeah- Wait, what happened?!" It took you a second to notice Gus' bleeding nose.
"You know, bloody nose season. Right, Gus?"
"Yeah, I get them all the time. Nothing to worry about," Gus spoke as his blood dripped down the sink.
You let out a big yawn causing even Lalo's eyes to soften. Ignacio nervously placed his hands on your hips, "Can I see your bruises so I can know where not to touch you?"
You reluctantly agreed, afraid to try to explain what happened, & turned around so both of your partners could see your back. Nacho slowly lifted the shirt to show bandages covering your back, soaked with blood.
"They cut you?"
"A lot," you admitted weakly, "It felt like hours, I don't know for sure."
"Oh, ángel, I'm so sorry," Ignacio's arms found themselves wrapping around your head again, "Lalo, grab Y/N a snack to go with their meds & I'm going to take them to bed. Oh, & mata a ese pollero, mi vida" (Kill the chicken man, my life (pet name))

You hesitated for a moment before standing up from your spot on the bed & moving to sit against the door. Your mind wouldn't let you admit it but being close to Ignacio again calmed you a bit.
You held your knees close to your chest, "Tell me everything."
So he did. Everything he could think of at that moment, he did his best to pause & let you process things when he said something heavy. This was one of those moments.
"So... you & Lalo... have killed people?"
The pause was longer than intended, "Yes."
The silence continued to linger, "Am I safe?"
There was no more time for silence between the two of you, "Of course, Àngel, we would never hurt you. That whole thing you saw downstairs was because we never want to see you hurt! I know you don't believe us but Gus is the one who hurt you, we were trying to make sure he couldn't do that ever again! We just want-"
A gunshot rang through the house. Your stomach dropped, despite all that you had seen tonight you still worried that the person shot downstairs was Lalo.
"Ignacio," worry laced your tone.
You heard him scramble against the door, "Stay here. Don't come out until I say so."
Ignacio's footsteps faded away & you were completely alone with your thoughts.
Ignacio stepped down the stairs cautiously, gun already in hand, any ounce of discreetness thrown out the window. A voice erupted from the silence.
"What have you done?!" Bolsa's shock caused Ignacio's heart to race, "The man you just shot is our number one profit source!"
Lalo let a chuckle slip, "Was."
Gus let out an agonal groan as Lalo attempted to move him. Bolsa pulled out his gun & pointed it at Lalo.
"I'm sorry, I can't allow you to finish him off. He needs medical help & he will receive it."
Lalo placed a hand on his gun as Bolsa's gun clicked back, causing the former to freeze in place.
"Lalo, move your hand off the gun."
His hand did not move an inch.
"Move your hand, Lalo, now," he was met with silence, "You have three seconds! Three, two-"
Another gunshot rang through the house. Your soul jumped out of your body. You wanted to run away as fast & as far as you could but you effectively trapped yourself in your bedroom. There was a long period of silence that made you want to claw at your skin until some form of escape formed. The silence was swiftly broken by footsteps, heavy & fast. Just as quickly the footsteps turned into knocking, no, slamming on the door that kept the rest of the world away from you. A pistol cocked then shot, & the door was thrown open. You covered your head with your hands & became as small as possible in the corner you had found yourself in.
Someone grabbed your hands tight & pulled them down from your face, "Querida!"
You looked up to see a very bloody Lalo Salamanca sitting in front of you. Part of you waited for him to fall dead at your feet, his assailant standing over him, but he didn't. This was real.
"What's happening? Where's Ignacio?!"
"What?" He had a smirk on his face that made it seem like you had just told a dumb joke, "He's downstairs. I- Alive, he wanted me to come get you, tell you that everything is okay!"
"Who got shot?!"
"It doesn't matter, Ignacio, you, & I are okay. Let's get some stuff packed, we're going on a vacation!"
A vacation?
"What do you mean?"
"Querida," he dragged out, "You know what a vacation is."
"Why? Where are we going?" Your questions continued.
Lalo simply brushed them away, placing a hand on each of your shoulders, "Y/N, don't waste time with these silly questions. Pack your things, hmm?"
That smile continued to unnerve you. Your husband stepped away from you & grabbed some suitcases from the closet. With one motion he placed them both on the bed before returning to the closet to grab one more. You walked up to one of the bags & opened it. It seemed to be Ignacio's by the look of the shirts. In the top compartment, there was a gun, a set of fake I.D.s, & a ton of money. You stepped back harshly into Lalo's chest.
"This one's yours," he spoke, grabbing your hand & wrapping it around the suitcase's handle.
You looked at him before turning back to set the suitcase on the bed. You opened it slowly revealing a similar setup to the other suitcase. The I.D.s caught your eye. You grabbed one, running your thumb over it. They had prepared for this day, maybe they meant to tell you. Now was the time when you noticed the blood that covered your wrists, Lalo's hands must've been bloody. You tried to wipe it off to no avail, it did not help you feel any better. Footsteps rapidly approached & you noticed Lalo pull out his gun as he stepped toward you.
"Who is that?" You asked to which he quickly shushed you.
A bloody hand rested on the doorframe, heavy breathing becoming the only sound in the room. The hand fell to a brightly colored shirt, Ignacio too attempted to wipe the blood away.
He stepped towards you as he spoke, "I'm sorry I had to step away, Àngel, Lalo wanted me to- I mean," he let out a sigh, "I was hiding the bodies."
"Gus is dead?" You asked, scared.
"& Bolsa," Lalo cheerily spoke as his hand hit your shoulder again, "Let's not dwell on the past. Ignacio, get your bag packed & help Y/N. I'll get the car ready."
Ignacio stepped next to you as Lao left the room, he opened the drawer behind him & grabbed a couple of your shirts before placing them in your suitcase. You were stunned by Lalo's attitude, Ignacio seemed to notice. He let out a sigh & looked at the floor. He offered you his hands, bloody & all. You took them cautiously.
"I know what you're thinking. How can Lalo be like that? He's just kind of... different. His family is crazy & he's just another product of that," his explanation was bad, but how would you explain this, "But I promise, he loves us very much. He would do anything for us, especially you. He didn't want to tell you because he thought telling you would put you in danger."
You nodded & Ignacio returned to filling your suitcase & soon you were out front, handing your suitcase to Lalo. He tossed it in the trunk & paused to look at you, giving you a soft smile. He directed you both into the back seat. Within half an hour you were at the airport, climbing into a private jet. In any other circumstances, you would be insanely excited & talkative, but the whole jet was silent aside from your footsteps. The silence was broken when Lalo returned from the restroom with clean hands, pulling you into a hug.
"Let's get out of here then we can get (your favorite food) & talk about what happened?" He spoke softly.
Even Ignacio's eyes went a little wide at that statement, Lalo had never been a softy. He regretted lying to you & Ignacio. He felt as though it was all his fault, & maybe it was. But somehow he knew, the only way he could fix it now was by being better in the future. That's exactly what he intended to do, & Ignacio was right, he would do anything to protect you."

Lalo gave his husband a quick nod before watching the two leave towards the bedroom upstairs. He placed his hand on his gun as he turned back to Gus.
"You know you can't kill me, Lalo," Gus spoke as he fixed his posture, the bloody nose finally drying up, "Don Eladio would never forgive you."
Lalo pulled out his phone & dialed a number, the angry expression never leaving his face, "Bolsa, I'd like to meet up with Eladio as soon as possible. I know we were just there but, we have a... problem with one of his favorite men. I thought it would be best if we met in person."
Lalo hung up & placed the phone in his back pocket.
"You're lucky you have the chance to walk out of here alive. Just know that if you so much as look at my partner ever again, I will torture you for the rest of your life & never give you the satisfaction of death."
"Well, Y/N has my number. If they decide to contact me that's not my fault. I just want to make sure they'll recover smoothly after all of that. Maybe we'll become good friends!" Gus' cheery tone returned.
"Get. Out. Of. My. House!" Lalo spoke through gritted teeth.
"Seems like I should see myself out. Nice to meet you, Mr. Salamanca," Fring held out his hand, clearly relishing in the fact that he was torturing his enemy.
"Last chance before I shoot you right here, Fring."
Gus took the hint & finally turned towards the door. Lalo wished he could shoot him in the back of the head right there. After Fring left, Lalo locked the door behind him. He pulled out his phone once more & called for more men to be sent to his house. He walked along the inside perimeter of the house making sure everything was locked. Once he was done he walked up to the bedroom. Ignacio was laying on the side of the bed with your arms & legs wrapped around him, you were out cold.
"Are they feeling better?" Lalo asked softly, noticing that his husband refused to look at him, "I'm sorry, mi corazón. I could not have known this would happen."
Ignacio glared at his husband through his eyebrows. Lalo could have known because he was constantly telling him it would happen. He let his mind wander as he looked up at the ceiling. Sleeping was going to be impossible for those two, if you weren't so drained you'd be up with them. Lalo sat in the chair by the bed & placed his gun on the armrest. He would not sleep until his men were there to watch over you. Then again he had a lot to think about, the methods he'd use to break each bone in the body of the man that hurt you.
"Brian Clarke," Lalo thought aloud, gaining the attention of his husband, "Clarke with an e at the end. Brian... Clarke."
Once his men arrived he met them outside, ordering two of them to hunt down your assailant while the others patrolled the house. Finally, Lalo had a chance to relax. He made his way back to the bedroom & got in bed. He turned over, looking at you, & felt guilt wash over him once more. Now that he wasn't protecting you or enraged at Gus, he was just disappointed with himself. He lied to Ignacio & put you in danger, to be fair he didn't think anyone would be dumb enough to cross him. He should've accounted for Gus' unpredictability.
That morning Ignacio was shaken awake by his husband who wore a bright smile considering what happened last night. Ignacio gave Lalo a confused & heavily tired look.
"We got him," Lalo dragged out his words, cheer filling his tone.
"Who?" Ignacio's brow furrowed, "Fring?"
Lalo stepped back & used his hands to talk, "No, no. Not yet! Brian Clarke, the man who hurt Y/N!"
Ignacio shushed his husband & looked down at you, sleeping as peacefully as you could with such injuries. Without a second thought, anger took over & he held eye contact with Lalo.
"Make him suffer."
"You don't want to come with me? A little husband-husband bonding," he teased.
"I'm not leaving Y/N alone ever again," Ignacio ran his hand through your hair, causing your unconscious form to slightly tighten your grip around his midsection.
Lalo felt his smile falter but hid it by lightly hitting Ignacio's arm, "Hey, I'll have my fun then you can take your turn."
Ignacio barely processed that his husband was talking, gritting his teeth & imagining breaking the man's spirit, "I want to go first. Stay with Y/N."
Lalo felt like a schoolgirl watching Ignacio climb out of bed, his fists clenched (Lalo: "That is the hottest thing you've ever said" LMAO). Before Ignacio could make it out Lalo pulled him close & gave him a long kiss, pulling Ignacio as close to him as he possibly could. As much as Ignacio wanted to still be upset with Lalo, he couldn't help but melt in his husband's grasp.
"Make him wish he never laid eyes on our querida, mi corazón (darling, my heart)," Lalo spoke as he pulled away from the kiss.
As Ignacio left, Lalo heard you mumbling in your sleep. He quickly climbed into bed with you & wrapped your limbs around him. He leaned back & pulled out his phone, connecting to a nanny cam that was installed in the basement. Pulling out headphones & putting one in his ear, he waited for his husband to walk down the stairs.
Ignacio entered Lalo's study & closed the doors, making sure no one could see what he was doing. In typical Lalo fashion, he created a secret door & basement. Initially, it was so he couldn't be caught by police but it helped keep their business from you as well. Ignacio hit a hidden button & the door slid open. He took a deep breath & walked slowly down the stairs, Brian's pleads became audible quickly.
"Where am I? You've got the wrong guy!"
"I don't think I do, Brian. Your boss sold you out. You picked the wrong side," Ignacio taunted the man who was chained to a wall.
Brian's skin went pale, he recognized his captor even in the dim, red light.
"Ignacio Varga," he breathed out.
Ignacio grabbed a cigar cutter from the table & brought it up to the man, ignoring his pleas. He cut the man's pointer finger clean off, relishing the screams of pain the man let out.
"Only people I love can call me Ignacio," he began while holding up the cigar cutter once more, "Speaking of people I love, I believe you know why you're here."
The man was full-on crying now, amusing Ignacio, "It was just a job, I didn't know they were important to you."
"I don't like liars, Brian," Ignacio spoke before cutting another finger off.
"Fine! I knew who they were! It's a job though, I can't just say no. I have to do what I'm paid for!"
"Torturing innocent people, that's what you're paid to do?"
This man was in so much pain he didn't even consider watching his words, "They can't be innocent, they're dating you & Lalo Salamanca! They're just as bad as you!"
Lalo, who was watching with a bright smile on his face, whispered to himself, "Ohoho, you've just sealed your fate, Bryito."
Lalo felt you moving under him & quickly closed his phone, slightly sad he wouldn't be able to watch his husband's rage live. He looked down at you to see you slowly pushing yourself up, arms shaking.
"No, no, no, querida! Don't overwork yourself," Lalo spoke quickly trying to awkwardly lift some of your body weight for you.
You were initially surprised by the fact that you were no longer laying on Ignacio's chest, but you were happy to have some alone time with your other partner now, "I'm fine, Lalo. I'm just getting up."
Your statement was immediately followed by a wince & Lalo no longer allowed you to move on your own, pulling you up to lay on his chest. You laughed at the fact that he could heft you around like nothing.
"You should take the pain meds, querida."
"You're right, I need food then. Guess we have to get up," you teased causing your to partner smile.
"Fine, fine. But if you get in any pain I will find a way to carry you!"
The two of you made your way downstairs & into the kitchen, Lalo ghosting a protective arm around your waist. He directed you to sit at the table while he made breakfast. Lalo turned on some music & sung along with it while putting on his apron.
"Where's Ignacio?" you asked, making Lalo's eyes widen a hopefully unnoticeable amount.
"Oh, he went to the gym, he had to get some frustration out. I'll text him to find out when he's coming back."
Lalo Salamanca: Y/N & I are in the kitchen! When are you coming back from the gym?
Lalo waited as the meat cooked, staring at his phone hoping Ignacio understood what he meant. He tapped his foot to the beat of the music.
"Mi corazón Ignacio": Alright, I'll be home soon. I love you!
Lalo relayed the information to you & continued cooking. He took a moment to pour out a glass of water for you & set it on the table, kissing you before turning back to the stove. You almost choked on your water when you saw a man outside with a gun slung over his back. Freaking out, you didn't hear Ignacio enter the home.
"Lalo! There's- a guy!" You started hyperventilating as you jumped out of your seat, trying to run away.
Ignacio ran up & grabbed you leading you toward one of the many unassuming dressers in your home. Unbeknownst to you, a gun sat in one of the drawers.
"Is it the security?" Ignacio asked, pulling your head to his chest, which you now noticed was bare.
Lalo grabbed his hip & looked outside, one of his men. He should've relayed the fact that you now have a security detail to you earlier, he was just too distracted by all that his husband was doing in the basement.
"Sí, I'm sorry querida. I forgot to tell you I hired some extra security," Lalo spoke, lowering his hand & walking up to the two of you.
Lalo threw an arm over both yours & Ignacio's shoulders as the latter tried to bring you down from your panic. Lalo was never as good with these things as Ignacio was, so he tried his best to use his presence to offer comfort. He lightly squeezed your shoulder & placed a kiss on your cheek.
"Everything is okay, ángel, you heard what Lalo said."
Once you managed to calm down, the two led you back to the kitchen. Lalo returned to cooking while Ignacio sat across from you holding your hand. A bit later, Lalo placed plates full of food in front of you & Ignacio before sitting down with his own. You ate in peaceful silence for a while before a ping rang from your phone, more so catching Lalo's attention than anyone else. Your phone was in the living room & you didn't care enough to get it, not voicing your opinion, instead just chowing down on the amazing breakfast.
"Lalo, your cooking is always so amazing," you complimented.
"Thank you, querida," his mind was far away.
A second ping hit your phone & Lalo stood up believing the pings to be texts from Gus. He walked off into the living room & grabbed your phone, false alarm, emails. He brought your phone back with him & set it on the table.
"You have some emails from work," Lalo handed you your phone & sat back down.
You let go of Ignacio's hand to reply to your boss, Ignacio's eyes flitted up towards you & stayed locked on your face. He felt an extreme need to always see you or feel you, likely fuelled by the guilt of letting you get hurt. He wasn't even eating at this point, just staring.
"How was the gym, Ignacio?"
He didn't even turn to face Lalo, "It was good, I feel a bit better now."
You looked up to meet Ignacio's eyes, "Oh yeah, you went to the gym. Do you need a shirt or do you just want to sit there shirtless & looking pretty?"
Ignacio's eyes softened & he gave you a soft smile. Lalo let out a chuckle, "What, you don't like what you see? Close your eyes then because I do!"
You & Ignacio erupted into laughter & life felt normal again. Your phone began to ring & you stood up slowly, walking into the other room to take the call. Lalo didn't question it, trying not to be paranoid for five seconds & Ignacio kept an eye on you still, scooting his chair a little bit to keep you in view. Ignacio subconsciously tightened his grip on the knife that he was using to cut his food.
"Hello? Oh hi, great to hear from you again. Yeah, I'm good. I'm in a lot less pain than yesterday but it's still rough," after another pause you turned to look into the kitchen, "Can we have Gus over for lunch?"
Lalo turned to look at Ignacio, "Oh, well- I was thinking we should, erm- go visit the doctor to see what we can do to help you recover?"
You paused for a moment, listening to Gus, "Gus asks if dinner is okay?"
"Querida, I-" Lalo wanted to protest but you looked so innocent & he feared saying no would hurt your feelings, "Yeah, that's fine."
The hospital trip only amounted to the doctor informing you that you should stay in bed. Lalo tried to use that to convince you to rain-check your dinner but you felt indebted to Gus. As the three of you pulled into the driveway, Lalo received a phone call. He stepped out of the car & walked a bit away before answering.
"Bolsa?"
"Yes, Lalo. I got your message, would you like me to come across the border to discuss the matter with you in person?"
"Hmm, yes. Is tonight doable?"
"Yes, Lalo, but if this is another 'you not trusting Fring without a fraction of evidence' then I will take it up with Eladio."
"Of course, Bolsa. I have reason this time, my uncle has no influence in my decision."
"Alright, I will head to you now."
Lalo couldn't help but be happy now with the fact that Gus was coming over, ensnaring himself in a trap of Lalo's own design. He walked inside to find that you & Nacho had already gone upstairs, likely to cuddle. He decided to get some extra work in with your friend in the basement. He entered his study, opened the door, & made his way downstairs. Brian instantly heard the footsteps.
"I've told you everything, please. I'm sorry I hurt your partner," his voice was hoarse & he barely had the strength to look up at Lalo.
"Oh no, I haven't had the chance to hear your story," Lalo grabbed a large, jagged knife off the table, "& I have a friend who would love to hear it. If you don't mind telling them, I just might let you live."
You were doing your best to help set up dinner. You were moving slow & had to take breaks but Ignacio was there to pick up where you left off each time. Lalo walked up, pulling Ignacio away from the table as he laid down utensils. He took Ignacio into the other room so you wouldn't hear him muttering something like, "Let me show you some of the current profits, tell me what you think."
You tried your best to set up the rest of the table, looking over your shoulder to see Ignacio staring at you.
"I'm fine!" You yelled, causing him to smile.
Ignacio rejoined you in setting up dinner & within minutes there was a knock at the door. You turned to get it but Lalo ran past you towards the door shouting, "Rest, querida!"
The door opened to reveal Gus with a bottle of expensive-looking wine in hand. He offered the wine to Lalo before stepping inside & heading straight to you. He attempted to sit next to you but Ignacio quickly took his spot. Lalo had already staked his claim at the head of the table, despite still cooking on the other side of the kitchen, so Gus ended up sitting across from you. Ignacio placed a tight grip on your leg to the point where your leg began to hurt.
"Ignacio- Can you," his eyes snapped to you & he loosened his grip, "I'm sorry ángel, I got lost in thought."
"About what?" You asked, trying your best to hold eye contact as your partner avoided it.
Ignacio did his best to not look back at Gus, lying to you felt so wrong but he knew it was to keep you safe, "I just wish I ended up staying here to protect you."
"That's not your fault, baby. You & Lalo had business & it's not like any of us knew I was in danger. I'm safe now because my two wonderful husbands are here to protect me," you admittedly gave a cheesy line at the end but it made Ignacio feel a bit better.
Lalo finished cooking & placed the plates down once more. He had an oddly cheery attitude while sitting next to his worst enemy. Gus noticed that instantly. He couldn't brush it off as Lalo being a good actor.
"How was your day, Gus?" You asked as you dug into your food.
"It was nice, thank you. A lot of meetings."
"Meetings for what?"
"I own a restaurant chain called Los Pollos Hermanos, I spend most of my time making sure each restaurant is up & running."
"Oh! Lalo owns some restaurants too, right Lalo!"
"Yes, querida. It sadly takes a fair amount of my time away from my partners but I do get to work with Ignacio on occasion, that's taken some of the workload off my shoulders."
"Why do you not work with Y/N," Gus struck a cord.
"Well, I-" Lalo began, being met with your immediate interjection.
"I am, in no way, capable of running a business. Thank you for the vote of confidence though, Gus."
You took another bite of your food & gave him a smile. A knock at your front door made you jump a little. Lalo jumped up & headed to the door while Ignacio grabbed your hand.
"Let's go upstairs, ángel," Ignacio nodded towards the large staircase behind him & looked a bit concerned.
"Why, we're having dinner?"
"I- just, come with me."
"O-Okay, sure I guess."
You were confused, definitely. You wouldn't admit it but you were a little scared. Ignacio sounded... unsettled for lack of a better word. You turned to see the man at the door for just a second before Ignacio drew your attention back to him. He was tall with dark hair & a fancy suit. He shook Lalo's hand with a smile.
"Please, Juan, join us in the kitchen."
By "us", Bolsa expected to see Lalo's husband, Ignacio. The fact that Lalo was married to a man became well-known quickly throughout the cartel. It would be a lie to say people took him less seriously after the wedding. You, on the other hand, were still a secret until now.
"Oh! Fring, I didn't expect you to be here," Bolsa replied to Gus' shocked look.
The three men sat at the table in silence for a moment as Lalo pulled out a folder.
"I called you here today, Juan, because Fring kidnapped my partner. I believe he was trying to take a stab at my family's business!"
"Where is Nacho now?" Bolsa asked.
"I- No, my other partner."
"Other partner?"
"Yes, Y/N, they're upstairs now but-"
"Are they actually your partner or are they some slut you hired."
Lalo stood up & slammed his fist onto the table, "Will you listen to me, Juan?!"
Silence fell over the table once more as Lalo practically threw the folder at Juan. He opened the folder to see pictures from your doctor's visit that day showcasing each & every injury you sustained. Bolsa was silent as he looked through each one.
"So you say Fring kidnapped them to undermine you?"
"Yes!"
"Then why are they alive?" Bolsa asked bluntly.
"What?" Lalo froze, this wasn't going how he planned.
"You think Fring doesn't have the resources to make someone disappear. Am I wrong to assume that it would be easy for you?" Bolsa turned to Fring.
"N-No, I have made some less than trustworthy workers disappear as you say," Gus tried to sound more innocent, a liar's tactic?
"No! He kidnapped Y/N, hurt them, then let them go to get to me! One of his men, who was involved, admitted it all to me!"
"You kidnapped one of my men?" Gus, again, feigned innocence.
"You gave me his name! You wanted me to take him!"
The group was yelling too loud to hear Ignacio calling out to you to come back. Your husband tried to grab you but you got past him & ran downstairs.
Lalo pulled out his gun & pointed it at Gus, "He hurt my partner, you can't let him get away with that!"
"Lalo?" You spoke no louder than a whisper while grabbing his arm.
Lalo didn't register your voice & threw you to the floor, pointing his gun at you. The fear in your eyes almost made him drop his gun. He quickly holstered his gun & kneeled down in front of you, you scrambled away from him.
"Querida, I-"
"I take it you haven't told them about your business," Bolsa, who was now standing, spoke down on his fellow Don with a twisted smile, "Are they really your partner if you can't trust them?"
Ignacio helped you up but you stepped away from him as well, "What are they talking about?"
Ignacio fell silent & you backed away. You felt so confused & betrayed. You were almost at the door when Ignacio spoke up.
"Gus Fring was the one that ordered your kidnapping."
"What?" You now noticed that Gus was in the room as well.
"I would never, Y/N, I did all I could to help yo-"
Lalo quickly raised his gun to point at Gus, "SHUT UP!"
Gus' hands flew to his head & you tried to protest, Lalo immediately interrupted you.
"Ignacio, take Y/N up to our room, we'll tell them everything after," his voice turned cold, "Give me five minutes."
Ignacio went to pull you into a hug but you ripped yourself away again, "You can't hurt Gus, he saved me!"
"No, Y/N, please. I'll explain it all upstairs," Ignacio tried to reason with you.
"If I go upstairs I can't guarantee Gus' safety," You turned to look at Lalo, "If you hurt him I- I'll call the police."
The sound of a gun clicking made you freeze. You didn't have to turn to know it was pointed at you.
"We can't have you doing that," Bolsa spoke, bringing the gun a little closer to your head.
Lalo turned to point his gun at Bolsa, "Don't."
"You cannot let them go to the police, if they so much as touch a phone I will shoot. We have a lot more to protect here than your marriage, Lalo. You know my job!"
"Fine! I'll go upstairs," You turned on your heel & walked right past Ignacio, who walked behind you to keep you safe.
As soon as you got upstairs you made a beeline for your room & locked yourself in before Ignacio could reach you. To say you were scared was a terrible understatement. You didn't know what was going on & all you could convince yourself was true was that you weren't making it out of here alive. Ignacio didn't try to fight you, if anyone in this godforsaken world could understand how you were feeling right now it was him. He rested his back against the door & slid to the floor with a thud, letting his head rest in his hands. There was a long period of silence.
"Àngel, I-" Another pause made your heart race, "I wish I knew what to say. I understand that this is... terrifying. We didn't want you to find out this way. Ugh, that doesn't change anything. We didn't want you to get hurt."
You didn't respond, you were genuinely afraid your husband was waiting for a chance to kill you.
"We thought keeping everything from you would keep you safe. All it did was make you an easy target. I want to tell you everything. I'll do it from behind this door if I have to but please, just tell me if you want to hear it."
You hesitated for a moment before standing up from your spot on the bed & moving to sit against the door. Your mind wouldn't let you admit it but being close to Ignacio again calmed you a bit.
You held your knees close to your chest, "Tell me everything."

Ignacio felt guilt creeping up on him as you sat there waiting in the hospital. Your friend Leah was in critical condition. Ignacio knew what exactly happened. She got too close for his husband’s liking. And that’s how she ended up falling down the stairs and hitting her head so hard.
Lalo took this opportunity to comfort you holding you to his chest as you sobbed quietly. A missing friend and a friend that’s now in the hospital. You had no one else to rely on.
Hours went by.
After the alarming news of Leah being in a coma Ignacio convinced you to go back with him and Lalo. So, you agreed the car ride was silent your mind couldn’t comprehend what happened.
“It’s okay querida we will take care of you don’t worry about anything” Lalo’s voice suddenly spoke. Marco rested his sleepy head on your shoulder.
Why was this happening?
Ignacio linked his arm with yours as you walked into their home. There was still blood at the bottom of the stairs staining the tiled floor. You couldn’t bare to look “It’s okay it’s okay” Ignacio hushed Lalo walked up the steps carrying a sleeping, Marco. Ignacio led you to the downstairs bathroom his hand turned the faucet of the bath then the water poured as you sniffled in sorrow.
“Hey hey look at me” his hands grasped the sides of your face Ignacio wiped the tears from your glossy eyes. “The doctor said she’s receiving the best of care you never know she might wake up tomorrow” he said hopefully. But he didn’t hope for it at all she wasn’t good for you. She doesn’t deserve someone like you.
Ignacio smiled as you nodded in understanding. Oh, how much he hated seeing you cry like that.
When he left the bathroom, you tried to relax in the hot water, but it was impossible your mind would drift to Mark and Leah worrying for their wellbeing. You still didn’t know of Mark whereabouts. Then you realised Leah’s friend Sam was tracking his phone.
“I need to speak to him” you tell yourself standing up in the bath. Suddenly the door opened, and you quickly sat back down in the water. What the fuck?
Lalo walked in as you covered your body in bubbles and wrapped your arms around yourself. He smiled at you as you looked at him embarrassed and confused “I got you some towels” he said in a weird cheerful manner. He was acting so unaware of what he was doing and placed down the towels on the edge of the lavish sink.
Doesn't this man know of privacy?
Then he stepped closer to the tub staring at you “thank you” you shyly say wanting him to leave. His hand then touched the wetness of your hair “we just want to take care of you know? A beautiful girl like you shouldn’t be so sad” his voice softly tells you.
Does he realise what has just happened?
Lalo pressed his lips to your forehead (to what felt like a long time). You quietly gasped at the sudden act of affection then he walked to the door “Dulce niña (sweet girl)” he purred then left.
What was all that about?
-
When you retreated to your room away from that strange situation you focused your mind on important matters. You didn’t really know this Sam guy, but he was bond to be following Leah on something. You checked on each one of her socials, but no account came up.
You gave out a frustrated sigh and then tried to get in touch with your uncle Mike but there was still no answer. You felt stuck and the only people communicating with you was Lalo and Ignacio and they weren’t really helping.
Hopelessness was an intense emotion and the lack of sleep made your paranoia so much worse, so you went downstairs for a glass of water and a breath of fresh air.
Standing in the heavily lit garden and sipping some cool water you decided to make the call and report Mark missing as the twenty-four-hour mark surpassed and hope for something good to finally happen.
“Can’t sleep?” Lalo’s voice asked you turned around to see him leaning against the doorway. “Not really” you shake your head. “Me neither I never do” he chuckled. You smile weakly and look up at the night sky. Lalo walks over and stands next to you. “I have noticed some of my decanter missing” he chuckled again.
“Normally I don’t ignore broken rules but given what happened I let it slide” he tells you with a smirk.
“Sorry about that” you softly apologise. Lalo places his hand on your shoulder “It’s okay. How about you have a glass with me? You look like you need it querida” He smoothly suggests.
“I think I’ll pass thanks” you refuse kindly, but Lalo wasn’t having it “Just one and we can talk more it will make you feel better” He urges.
The more you refused the more Lalo became persistent. “One glass then” you agreed causing Lalo to give a cheerful smile “good girl” he told you.
He's heavy on the praising
You sat down in the longue room shifting awkwardly as you watched Lalo pour you a glass of wine. “There you go querida” he handed it to you.
Lalo undid the top button of his shirt staring at you as you pressed the glass against your lips. Why is he staring like that? You immediately noticed how close he was sitting next you. His thigh pressing onto yours “delicioso know?” Lalo raised his brow and you winced at the suddenly strong taste.
“Yeah, it is” you hummed. Lalo made small talk as you drank Lalo certainly had a way with words. But the atmosphere was still uneasy given you sitting (so close) with your married employer trying to drink away your nerves.
Then you heard Marco’s voice from upstairs “Papa!” you looked at Lalo and he sighed “Ignacio can see to him” he chuckled. “You are so motherly to him” Lalo mused. “I’m just doing my job he’s a good kid” you simply say.
“You know that’s what he needs a good mother” Lalo said softly. Curious you wanted to ask about his mother. “Does he have one?” you asked.
“Not really a year after me and Ignacio tied the knot, we found a surrogate and then Marco was born” Lalo explained, and you hummed in understanding.
“We want another baby” Lalo said gently tucking a loose hair behind your ear. You looked down at your glass blushing a little “Marco would love that.” you replied.
Lalo chuckled “Being a Salamanca and all he would protect his little hermano or hermana” he told you. You could imagine. Flinching you felt Lalo's hand suddenly press on your thigh “I always think about having a bebé the old-fashioned way” his words made you feel strange. Is he drunk?
You were about to stand up and say your goodnights but then Lalo faced you and lips pressed against yours with such force it took your breath away. His strong hands held your head in place, and you tasted the mixture of whiskey and the wine you were both drinking. So hard and bitter.
Lalo’s tongue was so desperate to explore your lips and you tried pushing him away. He finally released you from his snake like grasp with a groan and you stared at him in disbelief.
“What the fuck?” you managed to whisper in confusion you heard Leah’s joking teasing about how you were going to be stuck in a middle of an affair.
You needed to get away...NOW!
“Is everything okay?” Ignacio’s sleepy voice questioned he stood there shirtless rubbing his eyes. You had no idea how to respond.
“We just had our first kiss” Lalo stated, and you gasped in shock is he fucking serious?
Ignacio sighed and shaked his head “baby I told you it’s way too earlier to do that” he told his husband in disappointment.
What the fuck?!

Mike arrived at the regular meeting place his dull expression stayed the same but the concern for his niece was beginning to weigh in.
His employer sat in front of him (on time like always) “She’s been calling me nonstop” Mike stated. You had no idea what have thrown yourself into. “She’s just a distraction from what really matters she needs to be with them as long as possible. I don’t want any mistakes” the man told Mike.
“Nothing bad will come of your niece you have my word for that”
