School Life
Most of the people describe school life as the most memorable part of their life. Well, I can’t say that because my school life was toxic. The most toxic thing I faced there was favoritism.

Shame
Where we come from shapes “what we are to become” and molds our beliefs about “who we are”. If it doesn’t measure up to others we feel shame and makes us believe we are not equal. If we didn’t get into the right school we feel shame we weren’t smart enough or didn’t know the right people. Our families shame us when they act disorderly or if they have dependencies. We can shame our families when we identify differently from what they believe making it difficult to have a relationship with them.
We try to bury what hurts us deep down until the dam breaks. If we experienced shame as a child this makes it hard to overcome. When we didn’t excel in academics we feel shame and try to protect ourselves from being embarrassed. Who we identify as can bring shame to our families causing isolation and separation. We feel shame when can’t perform to the expectations of others taking us down a dark road with extra baggage.
Got a hold on us,
Be proud,
Find inspiration.
When we are not truthful about who we are it brings problems and unhappiness. If we are confident and remove the shame we can be successful at whatever we decide to be. We need to feel worthy removing any shame that keeps us from peace and joy.
Lack of Self Esteem
One of the major obstacles in my life is my lack of self esteem. People have told me that I don't see myself like they do. It's taking a big toll on me, and now my relationship (might I add, has been my best relationship..he treats me so good.) I have this fear that people are going to cheat on me or that I am not good enough. I know my boyfriend would never do that to me, but it's still in my mind. I don't know how to overcome it. I also think I have anxiety. I'm not good around big crowds of people especially if I don't know them. I worry way too much...it takes a lot of energy out of me. I thought about going to a psychiatrist..but I need a family doctor first, which is hard to get here.
If anyone has any tips about how to boost your self esteem I am all ears. I just want to be happy and comfortable in life..and with myself.
