🍫 Do they sleep with stuffed animals? And if they do, which is their favorite and why?

Lactarius had a few well loved stuffed animals when she grew up and one she brought with her on her journey to Vesuvia. It was a little wolf plush made with real wolf pelt on its thick neck fluff. Unfortunately during the plague most of her belongings were burned when the city was “cleaning/sanitize” after Lucio passed and the Red Plague suddenly stopped. Her beloved plushie was burned with thousands of other items to help prevent another spread.

But when Valerius and Lactarius took a week long trip to Venterre, one of the stores that were close to the seaside inn they were staying at was a toy shop. And sitting in the window was an absolutely hideous mismatched patchwork bear. It’s eyes were off, one of the arms was a little longer than the other. At one point it seemed that whoever made it used random animal pelt to complete the back. After talking with the owner, the bear just randomly showed up out of nowhere one day and as a joke they put it in the window for sale. Of course nobody bought it. Until Valerius saw Lactarius holding it and looking it over affectionately.

“My love, your going to buy it aren’t you....”

“I can’t leave it behind! It needs to go on an adventure back to Vesuvia.”

So now the toddler size bear stays in Lactarius’ study. And on occasions makes it’s way into their bed from time to time. 💖

🍋 on a scale of 1 to 10, how horny are they at any given time?

Every day Lactarius wakes up at strong 5 for the day. Depending on how her day goes depends on how her horny level rises or falls.

Waking up to a sleepy grinning Valerius. 8/10 would peg the man.

Romantic dinner date at a new restaurant. 6/10

Food poisoning from said restaurant. -10/10 both retreat in opposite directions at the estate and wallow in solo misery hugging the toilets.

Watching Valerius go off and enraged at lack of standards at the restaurant when inspecting with the Countess. 7/10 please pin me~

Making eye contact with him as he slowly realizes what he has done. 8/10 might pin you later~

Finding a quiet place and goes to make a move only to have her arm in a sudden death grip. “I’m not in the mood. Don’t even think about it.” 9/10 are you sure? Sub Mode Go!

Getting drug into the nearest room and letting Valerius work out his frustration while also managing to pin him down and tease him until he is absolutely feral. 10/10 fantastic day.

Apprentice questions: 19, 20, 23!

19. At this point in the game, do they care more about recovering the rest of their memories or living as they are now?

Lactarius doesn’t actively seek to regain her memories. She has recovered a lot of bits and pieces of memories from her past so she isn’t completely unable to remember her past. The only memories she desires to have back are the ones with her mother who would tell her stories of her father, aunt and the few times she met Valerius when they were young. But she hide a memory chest in the foundation of the shop that she found years later and treasures everything inside it.

20. Would they be up for another Masquerade despite all that has happened? New outfit theme?

Oh heck yes! Lactarius loves the Masquerades, maybe tone it down on some of the flare and not bankrupt Vesuvia. But she does enjoy the one day a year she can be anything she wants to be.

New outfits? Maybe a new dress but she still keeps her mask. It is special to her. And even with a new dress, it’s gotta have that bohiemian flare!

23. Do they like snow? Have they seen it before?

Lactarius adores snow! Loves it! ......only in the winter though. She enjoys having all seasons. Her outfits of choice are best suited for colder weather. Warm layers, comfy clothes, throw in some splashes of color!

Unfortunately she has a bad habit of staying out in the cold longer than she should. No her hands were always cold! That’s a bird, not her teeth chattering. Yep! True story. Get her in a warm tub and toss some warm food in her before she catches a cold! Bonus points if you get her in bed long enough with promises of snuggles and a story.

In her village, Mildrheimr, winter was a great time to practice magic and learn about traditions. So hearing stories and learning about other people’s traditions brings her a sense of comfort.

Who gives a speech at their wedding. Technically they had two receptions: a small one at dawn on the day of their public wedding. And then their public wedding that late afternoon for all of Vesuvia to attend (being Court Magician and Consul they were required to make it public).

At their first reception with family and few friends, it was a hot mess. Everyone was crying, emotions were running rampant, and nobody was safe. After the ugly crying, their was so much joy and laughter. Naomi (Valerius’ younger sister) was the speaker for that reception. Valerius even throwing in a playful insult or two through his own choked, wet laugh as she spent more time blowing her nose than giving the speech. Best part of a morning reception? Breakfast bar!

At their public wedding, this time around their were tears but not the hot mess of emotions that had happened earlier that day. Lactarius still choked up at her vows while Valerius had his face buried in her neck their entire first dance because he was too embarrassed of the waterfall of tears rolling down his face. Seraphina (Valerius’ mother) was the speaker at that reception. She was more composed than his sister and made sure all of Vesuvia knew that Lactarius was now a welcomed member of their family.

XIII: Sorry for those who have been waiting for updates on Life As We Know. But currently she’s trying to keep her adopted family form destroying the manor / dreaming of a nice relaxing vacation (which Valerius is planning without her knowledge) / and just simply enjoying the company of those she cares about. Unaware of the incoming Noble family about to pop in for a visit to see their son and brother~

XX: Lactarius’ Love Language a mixture of Acts of Service and Quality Time. She absolutely adores when Valerius decides to make her one of his childhood snacks for her after a hard day of working in her study or after a long day of catching up on chores at their small hobby farm. Or when she goes to prune the dead leaves off her plants in greenhouse, only to find they are already done. Sleepless nights of laying side by side and simply talking about whatever comes to their mind.

Words of Affirmation and Quality Time are what Valerius crave. So when she comes up behind him after a meeting or even during a meeting to wrap her arms around his neck and whisper praises in his ear. Valerius gets all warm and fuzzy. He enjoys taking Lactarius to different plays and enjoying a whole range of quality time, from dates and trips to falling asleep after late night musings.

XXI: In 10 years!? Oh gosh! Marriage! They both want to get married, but they don’t want to rush marriage. Both of them have seen what rushing into marriage can do to a successful couple. Also they definitely want at least a kid in the mix. Spoil that kid. Not too much though!

Lactarius also would like to help with medical strides when doctors find out how beneficial her manticore venom is for certain ailments such as arthritis and using for complicated surgeries so the patient doesn’t feel any pain or simply put them into a medical coma to work on extensive trauma.

Valerius of course would be expanding his winery to Praka and Venterre, the pair will be making quarterly trips to make sure that the standards are being upheld. And he would also be using his powers as Consul to approve of a plot of land just outside the city to start up a proper orphanage and school for them. No. Lactarius didn’t come up with the idea! .....well maybe she pointed out the property and mentioned with a daydream sigh how useful the plot of the land could be.......
