Ladies View

There is a nice driving route around the lakes of Killarney National Park. I love driving around like this in the country and it makes it even better that they have special parking areas for nice spots. Sometimes you would know about this beforehand with a sign but in this case there is no sign so you probably need to drive a little slower in case you need to pull over to take photos. What I don't like about this is that I am the one driving and I won't have the luxury to just look around. I can only appreciate these things when there is a pullover area and actually get out of the car.

Ladies View by Flapweb Via Flickr: Ladies View overlooks the Lakes of Killarney, Derrycunnihny Oak Woods, the Eagles Nest, Torc Mountain either side of the lakes. To the left the Gap of Dunloe, Purple Mountain and the Macgillycuddy Reeks. Queen Victoria's ladies-in-waiting visited here during the royal visit in 1861. They were so enraptured with the view that it was named after them.
