I'm curious to spark dialogue between my fellow SnowCrow girlies because I feel like I see a lot of their trinities rounded off with Caleb. (The MAN he is 😮💨) The utter strength required of both me and wallet to not be a harem girlie dwindles daily...BUT...
Xavier rounded off my trinity for 3 simple reasons: Offbeat Track, Precious Bonfire, and Precious Moment.
I joined LADS during GoA (I PLAY FOR ZAYNE AND I STAY FOR ZAYNE 🗣️), so with the Idol Banner shortly after, Offbeat Track caught me SO off guard. (It was my, as still a new player at the time, introduction to horny!Xavier, LMAO.) Their kiss on the couch had me FERAL. Also, I unabashedly love the song!!! (Don't even get me started on Sunken Glow...) (In terms of the EN VAs, Xavier is UNDERRATED in my humble opinion.) (Also...FIRELIT EMBRACE WHERE HE LOOKS LIKE LEON S. KENNEDY AAAHH!!!)
THEN...once I got my hands on Precious Bonfire and Precious Moment, the fluff y'all! It stole my heart. "Tell me when you're overwhelmed next time." AAAHH, he's so adorable and caring in Precious Bonfire. It's such a silly, sweet, and wholesome card. (Y'all Xavier mains must really be getting whiplash on the daily, huh? Like, oOF...)

It's been a hot minute since I've been on here, or even posting much on AO3. Mainly because I was having irl life stuff and prepping for a major exam. I'll admit that I was not the most enthused about a 6th LI, but I was keeping an open mind and looking forward to meeting Valko. Today, I return from my exam to find him cancelled.
This definitely changes how I view the game. Valko's cancellation means even more main story delays, fewer resources, and more banners to pad the in between time. It solves nothing and only creates more problems.
That said, while I don't think I'll stop playing the game, I'm definitely drawing back my spending. There are a couple of cards from the 2024 banners with Sylus and Raf I want to pull, so I'll stay until they rerun and I can get them. Then, I might actually transition off this game, if not become f2p. Because this Valko situation just sets a terrible precedent. Today it was Valko. Who will it be tomorrow?
I won't stop writing Of Crows and Dragons for now. Over the year and a half since I started writing this story, Solana went from just another fankid to write dad Sylus to becoming a character in her own right, someone who's become so dear to me. Gray has similarly become dear to me, though I know I haven't written him enough. I want to continue exploring their lives, their story arcs, sharing what I have in mind for them and developing them into characters you all will love as much as I do, even though they're OCs. I might not need to play the game itself to do so.
To conclude, Infold has just shown that they probably lack direction. Because they removed an LI like this. I repeat what I said. Today it was Valko. Who will it be tomorrow?
Okay I can't keep quiet about CalebMC incest shit so hear me out:
I'm fucking tired of takes like "chill it's just a piece of media" and "if u don't like it then ignore it" NO I WON'T because
1) Media has a huge impact on real life and always had it. Just the other day, our professor of foreign literature was telling us how, after the release of Goethe's "The Sufferings of Young Werther," a wave of suicides swept through Germany and u keep saying that books/movies/games etc. don't relate to reality? Bullshit. And now when everyone has smartphone and internet you don't have to be Goethe to have that effect. And I want to remind you that LADS is a very popular game that is played all over the world. So, it's not just "little fun for Caleb girlies", it's normalization of incest. And another reminder, incest is illegal shit in most countries.
2) LADS is otome game. Such games are not an author's statement. They aren't made to carry an idea that can be accepted or not, they are made to satisfy the players. I'm a LADS' player and I'm not satisfied with this shit. Moreover, I'm furious. There is where game loses it's point. And why in the world I should stop playing game that I actually like and have spent a lot of time and even money on? Maybe it's the developers who should stop crossing the line, ignoring the morality and even the law of many countries? Especially in case LADS isn't stated to be dark, horror or morally questionable
And there's no room for takes about "But we have incest in (ancien mythology or piece of ancient culture name)" because MAYBE, just maybe, we shouldn't be guided by the standards of ancient people in the 21st century. In the Middle Ages, the peak of medicine was bloodletting, so why do you go to a normal therapist instead?
I don't believe I should say it aloud in the big 2026 but again: Incest is illegal and disgusting. Incest in games counts too. It's not "a kink" and it may have consequences.
I talked more on Instagram about this but I feel like the reason I love Xavier's stories more often is just growing up loving more "combat" and "action" media.
I know everyone likes the romantic side of Love and Deepspace but one of the reasons Xavier is my favorite LI is that there's something so special about watching them fight side-by-side. Their stories are always so full of action and energy; they're always in some kind of combat situation or mission, and it often forces them to confront some things in their relationship that they may not have gotten to if their lives weren't as life-or-death.
I wish there were more action and combat fics, dicey situations, sneaking behind enemy lines. I'm grateful Infold itself fills this void. I'm super-generalizing based on the fics I see here on Tumblr but so often the tags are filled with "anyway they won the battle now they have sex" but what if to me the more important part is the way the battle went anyhow?
I was raised reading sci fi and action stories so I'll have to brush up on all of it and eventually write it for myself.
Valko isn’t coming back😭. And right after I bought a new phone with more storage to play this damn game. Tell me, the fanbase formally known as (at least to me) LADdies: Time to go nuclear?😈
