Thoughts:
It’s a blessing & curse to watch this movie during my period.
I hate the credit design with the chalk cursive. It doesn’t fit the vibe at all of the movie. I hate it.
Oliver Mellors is hot in many many ways.
Damn, I forgot how much class & servitude is a whole thing in England.
Was there no running water/plumbing in England after WW1??
Loved how Lady Chatterly still had body hair shown
Awww running in the rain naked was first like “omg they’re naked…” to “awww they’re running in the rain together happy”
That first sex scene in the open gave me fucking anxiety. I was like “someone is gonna come and catch them…hurry up!!! Ahhh”
They made vows to each other.
That scene in the cottage where Oliver thinks he’s being used…drama! You can see his mind reeling and trying to vocalize what’s going on. Just being vulnerable.
He got PTSD from the war.
Connie’s final moment with Clifford was great. It shows how much women in relationships out of love & loyalty stay with their husbands (in general). They sacrifice so much, but men don’t appreciate it. That love comes in many forms.
