Kennedy has a punching bag down in the basement, her parents will use it too but she often goes down there to blast music and workout and just punch the bag to let anger out. She often pushes herself to keep working out even when she’s hurt, so like one day she’s punching the bag with a hurt wrist and she hurts it even more and kicks the bag cause she’s frustrated, then sees Minako halfway down the stairs

“Oh, uh, hey babe.”

“You good?”

“Hurt my wrist. Again.”

“Again?”

“Yeah. Your tall uncle smashed it with his stupid boot.”

“My tall uncle. That narrows it down.”

“The one who wears the platforms and has horns sometimes.”

“Oh, Eiji? Yeah, sorry about that. I’ll yell at him later for that, let’s get you some ice right now though.”

“I’m fine.”

“We can watch Empire Records or Sixteen Candles again.”

Ronan and Nina still work as a team when in Star City, they do it begrudgingly but they follow their leaders or parents orders and will tolerate each other. And they’re actually a really good team on the battle field, and they have traumatized poor Kenny many times-

Like Ronan’s always threatening to shoot up the city and just open fire on civilians, and while Ronan’s got a huge gun pointed across the street and roof at Green Arrow, Nina’s holding Kennedy back easily. And Nina has to remind everyone that she’s not as nice as other villains and will break Kennedy’s leg to get her to her knees and roughly tug her head up by her hair to make her watch. And while Ronan does feel bad when he looks back and sees her face, he’s still gotta follow orders but eventually gives in

Ronan: Let’s go, I think we taught her her lesson with messing with our op

Nina: But we-

Ronan: We’re done here, Ms. M. Come on

Nina: *hesitantly gives in and knocks Kennedy out before following him*

Ronan: Was that necessary

Nina: She followed you back to the base last time, remember? And we had to move bases cause you were too pussy to knock her out

Honestly I need to talk about Kennedy and her mom more because I fucking love Dinah Lance with my whole heart-

But like Dinah was so in a band in my canon at least (can’t remember at the moment if she was in the main continuation), so she’s who got Kennedy into punk rock and girl bands. Like when Kennedy was little she loved tagging along to the band practices, and the other girls would show her how to play a few notes on their guitars and bang the drums. Plus Dinah got Kennedy her first pair of combat boots and her first leather jacket, and was the one who showed her how to perfect the smoky eye look. So her and her mom will go to concerts together and if some villain messes with them on the way home, they’re gonna get quite the ass whooping when they realize they just tried to mug Black Canary and Lady Paramount-

Kennedy was honestly never the biggest Justice League fan, she always loved the old school heroes, the Justice Society of America. Not only was her grandpa on it, but every time one of the older heroes showed up to a fight they would have her full attention. She didn’t give two shits if Barry Allen was there, she was excited to see Jay Garrick in action. Hawkman and Hawkgirl were always awesome so she’d get to the top of a building to watch their fight in the sky. She would fangirl every time she heard Hourman say “Man of the Hour”. And Alan Scott was always her favorite Green Lantern, she laughs at Olive when she says Guys the best one
