I have some questions about Rory and Price!

1. What are their favorite memories of the other?

2. What a habit one has that annoys the other?

3. What’s something Rory does that drives Price wild?

Thank you so much for this Gem! I'm always so over the moon to get to blather on about my ship (and its nice to know that I'm not just screaming into the void)

Favorite memories:

Rory - her favorite memories of John are always the small, subtle things. The domestic moments when they get to feel like real people and not think about the blood and the sweat and the bullets that often follow them around. It's the moments where John is soft... almost. Where he's not having to be the hardened, ruthless Captain and instead uses that steel trap he uses for storing info to remember the way she likes her tea made, or the preferred temperature for running the bath, or the sweater of his she likes to steal from the closet to wear when it's chilly. It's the times they cook dinner together (even if he's just chopping the veg) or when they have their late night drinks on the kitchen floor and then bemoan the sore joints the next morning.

Price - The easy answer would be their active bedroom life, but in reality, his favorite memory is of the first time Rory met his mum. Seeing the way the two most important women in his life got along right off the bat was a huge relief off his shoulders, especially since it was at Christmas. He wasn't surprised to see Rory handle a situation like that so calmly as she was well known for charming the pants off most people. Even the way his mum embarrassed him by regaling the woman on his arm with stories of his childhood was worth every second if only to get to watch that cheeky grin and the crescent dimples appear on Rory's face, her eyes glimmering as she looked up at him.

2. Annoying habits:

Rory - The way John has to solve every single problem, big or small, even if he doesn't necessarily know the answer. He hates relying on others, refuses to let anyone else do what he "obviously" can. He'll take advice, sure, but his stubborn streak won't allow him to let anyone else take over.

Price - He loves her to death, but the way her mind often drifts to the worst versions of every possible outcome never fails to get on his nerves. He knows the anxiety isn't her fault, knows that its a reaction to her traumas, but for a woman who always seems to be smiling, its a crushing feeling when he can't fix the problem of that's in her head.

3. Something that drives Price wild:

I've made mention of this a few times, but Price has a huge competency kink, and Rory is nothing if not a competent woman both in life and work. She's smart, strong, resilient, a hell of a sharpshooter, and one of the best interrogators he's ever had the pleasure of watching work. She's a survivor through and through, she's efficient and self-reliant, and he couldn't find that any hotter than he already does.

There's a reason why he can hardly keep his hands off her.

Do you think Teia is petty enough to get back at Viago by fucking his protege in his own bed?

Like hear me out:

Maybe this time they had a massive fight and are currently “off” for the time being. Then a few weeks pass and she goes over to House De Riva for one thing or another, and she finds that Viago hs been gone on a contract, but Rook is there managing a few things. She hasn’t seen his pretty little protege for awhile, and when Rook invites her to stay for a drink how could she say no?

One thing leads to another and before Rook knows it The Andarateia Cantori is kissing her and pulling her towards a bedroom, Viago’s bedroom. Rook just can’t find it in them to decline her and dutifully follows her lead. They’ll strip and and rook will beg Teia to let them service her, to which she happily says yes and Rook eats and licks her like a starved woman

And if Viago comes home early to find Rook’s head buried between her legs and Teia looking at him with ecstasy all over her face, I’m not sure if he’d be angry or aroused 👀

Ok, so,

(This will be a little long-winded but I need to get this out of my head)

A couple days ago I was listening to a video essay on Lore Olympus in retrospect, and I was reminded of a plot point in that webcomic that would work SO well for a elga’rook noncon/dubcon setup. If you don’t know Lore Olympus, don’t look it up it’s a terrible, but at one point the character Hera was the only one that could see the nearly deceased titan and he was harassing her.

Imagine that somehow, in Elgar’nan’s final moments he manages to attach like a piece of his consciousness to Rook kinda like how spirits can possess mages but not quite. And it doesn’t start right away, first it begins as hearing his voice, asking her if she’s “truly satisfied” with herself for ruining his plans, seeing him in the corner of her eye, attempting to bring up parts of her past she wishes to forget, mocking her, etc..

But then he gets bolder, Rook can see him more clearly, his voice is louder, and he’s started to touch her. Light fluttering touches to unnerve her, forcefully grabbing her face to make her look at him in the eyes and see the fear welling in them, slowly moving his hands down lower and lower when she’s with people, touching her in such an intimate way in front of friends, forcing her to keep quiet. Since nobody else, mage or non-mage has picked up on his presence rook decides to ignore him. Clearly he’s just a hallucination, a figment of their traumatized brain.

He doesn’t take well to that.

He starts fucking with Rook’s sleep. Keeping them awake for days or sleeping for days at a time. Or his favorite, inducing sleep paralysis.

They’ll be awake in the middle of the night, unable to move or speak, with their lover/companion next to them on the bed. Elgar’nan groping them, teasing them, bringing Rook to climax next to their lover while they degrade them.

Oh my god, this AU is brilliant. I love it.

Elar'nan in Rook's head instead of Solas, tormenting them and touching them? Perhaps even trying to break them down so he can possess them in some way? It's delicious. And him being the sleep paralysis demon, touching them while they're unable to move or do anything about it...

I know I'm biased to Lucanis, but imagining him as Rook's lover- I wonder if he would notice the signs? Having himself been possessed, afraid to sleep, and able to hear and feel the presence of a spirit no one else can perceive, I can imagine he might actually start to catch on. Such a good concept, the DRAMA that could result is 🙏

I was scrolling through your kit cross tag, and I know she joins Jacob, and I recently rewatched Jacob’s fight on youtube, and so I just gotta know:

If Kit was an actual character in the game, what would her boss fight be like?

Would it be intertwined with Jacob’s or would killing Jacob trigger it? What would her relative difficulty be when compared to the others? What would be her strength in the battle? What would she be saying to the player during it, if she speaks at all?

She’s honestly kinda terrifying (and incredibly hot) and seeing her charging at me would make me freak out 😂

This gets really long, so putting it under the cut:

I think the best way to describe her boss fight would be like playing through Outlast. It would require the player to have to be sneaky and quiet at all times, focusing on survival through stealth. Basically, for all intents and purposes, turning themselves into a prey animal. (She'd probably also secretly get off on that because she's a freak 🤫)

The player would be forced to feel that fear of knowing they're being stalked. Adrenaline pumping, heart racing, palms getting sweaty. It would be eerily quiet, menacing in its lack of sound. Moving through the environment knowing that she could be behind any corner, ready to strike at any moment.

She, of course, has a lot of cat-like qualities, and so I picture it a lot like trying to escape from a tiger or a leopard, where you just know they are watching and waiting to pounce. That's Kit in a nutshell. She'll make you think you're safe, that you have the upper hand, but she's already multiple steps ahead of you and has about a hundred different contingency plans in her head, not to mention the brass balls of believing she is working for God and doing his bidding (apparently he'll forgive the murder if it's her hand. blah blah blah Lion of God or whatever)

I think killing Jacob would be the better trigger for her boss fight because at that point, it's no holds barred for her. She's going to be out for blood, and as much as she says she won't die for anyone and sacrificing herself is weakness, she'd have less to live for which makes her all the more dangerous.

I think for Kit, it would be more interesting to force the player to have to use melee or bladed weapons rather than guns like the rest of the fights. Forced to get on her level, to be willing to draw blood and get their hands dirty. She'd have more respect for someone willing to do that. She'd still want them dead, but at least she won't look at them like a worm then.

Her fight would also require no use of the Bliss. She despises it and what it makes her do, and I think she'd much prefer the challenge of having to take on someone one on one without them being drugged out of their gourd. Honor is a big thing with Kit, despite her being a shitty person. She doesn't like tricks or backstabbing or not fighting fair (unless it's her doing so, classic Seed hypocrisy showing through in her right there).

Kit isn't one for taunting. She's all about stealth and proving her strength through her will and through her actions. If someone is going to kill her they should prove worthy in doing so, so trying to break their spirit during the fight would also serve as a distraction for her. I think if she were to say anything, it would be if the player lost the fight. Then it's a smug look and a classic: "See, God won't let me die." All while giving the Kubrick stare.
