Pixar’s Coco is a beautiful masterpiece of a film. The details alone in the set pieces are enough to make you pause the movie and just take it all in. And this particular character is by far my favorite. Pepita is an Alebrije, or a spiritual guide for Imelda and the Rivera family.
Over 30 hours of applique work (probably more than that...), 2000+ crystals and 10+ hours of crystal work, merging patterns together, drafting things from scratch...All worth it to make something so colorful and fun. I loved this film and I am so happy that I got to make something from it. <3
