Darnaguen tagged me a few days back.
Tagging you guys here. Only answer if you want to and answer even if you are not tagged/been tagged already.
If you could master any kind of martial art, minus or plus weapons, what would it be?
Do you think your “status” in the family (being the only child, older/younger sibling, etc) has affected the way you think and act?
Name the three books sitting at the top of your wishlist.
Tea or coffee (and how do you like it)?
You can spend the night in any city/town of the world. Where do you go?
If you could bring back a franchise of your choice (TV, films, comics, books), what would you choose?
Describe your current wallpaper.
Name your favourite mythological/folklore deity, hero or creature and explain why.
If you could change your name into whatever you wanted to, what would your new name be?
Do you already have plans for the summer?
You have tickets (and hotel and money) to that convention you always wanted to go. The convention is...?
Have you ever experienced something paranormal? The autumn when I was 10 years old I sometimes felt “a presence” besides me in the classroom. My granddad had recently died and everyone assumed it was my way of mourning. With time, I began to think so too. Right now, I think it was probably my mind playing really vivid tricks.
If you had the power to shapeshift into an animal, which animal shape would you choose? While I adore wolf symbology/mythology and being majestic and feared rules, I think a magpie would be enticing. I would love to be iridescently black and I can almost see a nest from my window, which makes it a convenient choice.
If money wasn’t the issue, would you donate to charities? I find the concept of charity a bit horrifying and humiliating, to be true. Maybe because I cannot disassociate “charity” from “Christian charity”, and Christian charity is sometimes lacking and twisted. But I won’t go there. If money wasn’t the issue, I would love to donate money to causes I really believe in (scholarships for underprivileged girls, reforestation, etc). But not blindly: I would want the NGO to be transparent about their use of money and to help without preaching.
Do you have a favourite poet? I wish I did. I sometimes encounter a poem that really touches me but I do not read poetry often.
What D&D type character class would you be? Being the animal companion type, I’d say either druid or ranger. After all, I like melee and long-distance weapons.
If you could do anything at all for a living, what would you do? A mix of everything language-related: translating (literature and academic writing, mostly humanities but also anything that I find interesting and enlightening), writing (my fantasy novel, collecting my tales, articles everywhere and I may even try a hand in graphic novel writing), teaching (Spanish and Catalan).
A zombie apocalypse/nuclear war/alien invasion/etc. happens. How well do you think you would deal with the aftermath (dystopic civilization in crumbles scenario), assuming you survive? I would curl up and cry for days until I woke up dumbfounded and deeply traumatized, mumbling: “but I wanted a happy/normal life”, “what about my future?” and so on. I am not really that mentally strong to survive my environment being wrecked. Unless I had someone to take care: then I would put on my big girl panties and hide under a resigned yet strong façade.
The Doctor (or Gandalf, if you prefer) appears on your doorstep and asks you to come on an adventure with him. Do you go? No, because I know how hard it is for the ones you leave behind and because I am always brimming with plans and I know the whole “but I can take you back just a minute from now” never works. Also, I am not even that fit to run the whole time. However, I would offer my help anytime the Earth needs it (even if probably it won’t be necessary, as I don’t leave in the UK).
When did you last climb a tree? *Ehem ehem* I am not very good at climbing and high places scare me so… maybe never? *ehem ehem* (refer to questions 7 and 8: I am not even courageous!).
What do you like the most about where you live? It’s near to the sea. Also, Barcelona has a beautiful historical centre and lots of things to do if you are into subculture (nerdy stuff, metal music, etc).
You get to travel back in time and witness one historical event as a proverbial fly in the ceiling. You are invisible and you can’t touch or affect anything. What would you choose? I would like to see the Kingdom of Granada one year before and one year after the Alhambra was taken, just to see if the tales of Jews, Muslims and Christian living together in harmony and sharing different languages are true or just a sugarcoated version of the truth.
You can answer in English/mother language. If you are not tagged or you have played before and want to try these questions, go along. Likewise, if you are tagged and don’t feel like answering or some question are too personal, feel free to ignore this.

Do you have a piece of keepsake, jewellery or amulet you never leave your house without? Why?

You can change any piece of fiction (original or adaptation, written or audiovisual) in any way you want. Alter the setting, the end, the music, give depth to a secondary character, create a spin off, change the narrator, cast different actors... What do you change and why?
Are you usually mistaken for being younger/older than your actual age? Why? Is it a physical or mental thing?
If you could choose a language and be instantly fluent, what would be your choice?
