Oh yall already KNOW ya girl was prepared for this event!! (And this is what forced me to finally design Chaplin, Comedy Bot and Folly because I lowkey forgot-)
The episode opens with Earth, Mars, Chico, Dazzie, and Earth's cat Lady leaving Chaplin's comedy show. Chaplin gets stuck on the stairs and Earth has to help him up the stairs.
As they are about to walk out of the theater, Roxas is there. He wants to talk to Earth in private. Earth agrees and the rest all wait for Earth. Asking Chaplin to tell them a joke to distract themselves but he goes on a whole rant about how he can't just pull material out of thin air. They shut the metal door behind Earth, so Earth and Roxas talk.
Roxas actually apologizes. He says he's sorry for everything that happened. He was afraid and he says he just wants everything to go back to normal, before Comedy bot's death, before Freddy's death, before the fire...
He wants everything to go back to normal, but Roxas accepts the fact that it never will go back to normal. Their old normal is gone.
This is their new normal whether they like it or not.
Roxas actually starts to get emotional. Apologizing for getting Comedy bot killed, apologizing for being an a$shole to Earth, he's just sorry.
Earth says that while she does appreciate the apology... she doesn't forgive him.
Not only is her friend dead now cause of Roxas but she considered Roxas a friend and he hasn't acted like a friend for an insanely long time.
Earth says if he's really sorry then he needs to actually make a change and not just say it.
Roxas tells Earth about how when he first woke up and met Freddy, Freddy was very kind to him and showed him around the place.
Roxas says if Freddy saw him right now, he'd hate him for everything. Roxas says he's gonna change and be better.
Roxas then leaves and Earth returns to her friends. Chaplin is still arguing and trying to save himself on how he can't improv a joke.
Chico checks on Earth and asks if she's okay. She says she is, for the most part. She says she still doesn't forgive Roxas and they may never be friends again but at least that's behind them now. She's just tired of hating.
They then join the conversation on who Dazzie thinks is funnier, and then Chaplin tries to pet Lady and gets bit instead... and it actually hurts him?
(HOW STRONG IS THAT CAT'S TEETH?!)
The episode ends with the group going to do something else while Chaplin goes to flirt with Info-bot (Comedy bot's ex. Jeez, Chap, Comedy hasn't even been dead two months yet. Slow your roll buster)
Well, this episode was quite the pleasant surprise. :) 👍
Guess I was right to be hopeful. LAES 2.0 Roxas is changing for the better.
For today's LAES video tbh apart of me kinda believes that this is Chaplin pretending to be Comedy Bot and him just going off the information the others told him
