Millions of years before the events of the main story take place, a seer spoke of a prophecy of the far future. A future where a Tyrant would rise to power and take control of the multiverse,leaving all dimensions in chaos and suffering. Trillions of lives would be taken in a war of evil vs. goodness. Dimensions would be left in despair with seemingly no hope.
Except 4 gods/deities,each with a different set of abilities, would come down and put an end to the war.
The Timekeeper,with the ability to see the future and past and the ability to manipulate time itself
The Healer, someone who could cure any disease or wound in the multiverse, + the ability to bend nature to his will
The Hunter, the healer's counterpart who didn't possess any magic but was exceptionally skilled with weapons and in hunting
The Ruby,the most powerful God of all, eyes as red as the ruby gem and magic that could shape reality into anything, the Ruby had the power to change the out come of the war with support from his friends
If all turned out right, The Ruby would slay the Tyrant,sacrificing himself in the process
Timeskip to a time closer to this future, a Court had assembled in a daycare to decide the fate of a man who had Harmed the Celestial family greatly
Eclipse
The Celestials found a way to banish Eclipse to a different dimension where nobody would be there for Eclipse to hurt. They opened a portal and dragged out Eclipse before tossing him in.
Though something went wrong and Eclipse found himself in a different dimension than planned,filled with a pulsing,inky black flesh like substance that covered everything in sight.
Years passed on and on, and at this point, Eclipse had fully lost his mind due to the isolation. Eventually, Eclipse realized the substance was actually a magic source and harvested it to gain its power.
The magic was beyond human comprehension and granted Eclipse God-like abilities Eclipse decided to use to take over the multiverse and control everything.
Eclipse escaped free of his prison and began putting his plans into motion
Fast forward, and the war prophecized about turns out to be Eclipse's fault,making him the Tyrant.
Because of all that, Eclipse is known across dimensions, most want Eclipse dead others have tried worshipping Eclipse as a God and started a cult dedicated to him in hopes Eclipse will spare them because Eclipse really likes going around and slaughtering everyone
At this point, Eclipse has established himself as rular of the multiverse, but a wrench gets thrown into the mix when he comes across a civilization of Marinette puppet people.
The civilization seems to be in the process of finding a new rular, the options being between the first prince and the first princess,Sammy and Puppet.
Eclipse 'befriends' Sammy and learns more about Sammy's family and kingdom.
Puppet is his twin sister who has always had the spotlight ever since they were born, so obviously, she's the one most likely to get the throne.
So Eclipse, being the villain he is, suggests that Sammy could always just kill Puppet and automatically give himself the throne
Sammy decides to follow Eclipse's advice and poisons Puppet,making it look like an accident and taking the throne.
But there is another royal sibling,Charlie.
Charlie wasn't in line for the throne because 1}she was 9 at the time and 2} Charlie was the disgrace of the royal family, and Puppet was the only one to ever love/care about her.
Each member of the royal family in that kingdom has a power and Charlie's power is seeing the future atleast that's the extent of her powers as they know.
Though what made people hate Charlie was the fact that she was seen as a bad omen due to the fact she was born with no eyes genuinely, she was born with empty eye sockets, + her tears were blood
So after the disappearance of the king and queen and Puppet's death, Sammy locked Charlie in the dungeon and decided to execute her.
Tho before that, when Puppet was still alive, she made a deal with Eclipse. You see Eclipse doesn't do s■■■ unless it's for his own benefit so he gave that suggestion to Sammy only to double back and tell Puppet about Sammy's plan to kill her but just left his involvement a secret.
Eclipse knew of Charlie's existence because of Sammy's ranting and thought that Charlie's abilities would be useful to him so he offered Puppet the deal in which In case of if Sammy managed to kill her, Eclipse would be able to take Charlie
In more specific terms, making deals with Eclipse is essentially just making deals with the devil, so Eclipse actually asked for Charlie's soul
Puppet agreed because she wanted to keep Charlie safe and didn't know Eclipse was evil.
On the day of Charlie's execution, when Sammy is about to behead her, Eclipse shows up and kills him instead.
Eclipse,for the fun of it, also massacres the entire kingdom. Charlie is rightfully traumatized after watching her people get murdered and Eclipse takes her back to his castle in a dimension nobody knows about except for those who Eclipse permits.
Eclipse chains Charlie up in his basement and forces her to tell him anything useful he should know about regarding the war, Charlie tells him about the prophecy except only about the part with the Ruby
Eclipse, because of this, makes a plan to deal with the Ruby
Skip to 4 years after this event to an orphanage where we cut to Andrew.
Andrew has been at the orphanage his entire life,it's honestly the only thing he knows. Life at the orphanage for Andrew is miserable mostly because everyone bullies him, and the staff neglects him.
The major reason why Andrew is bullied is because he has red eyes, which is not normal, and everyone knows that once you're slightly weird, you're going to get bullied,
Because of the fact that Andrew only really has himself in his corner, he only depends on himself and spends his time devising ways to make as much money as possible to live a comfortable life once he escapes the rat hole he lives in.
One talent he does have that could help him succeed in this is the fact he's naturally intelligent and is really good at engineering and robotics.
One day, a guest arrives at the orphanage to warn people about Eclipse, Ruin, one of the leaders of a rebellion fighting against Eclipse.
While Ruin is telling tales of Eclipse's acts,Andrew gets increasingly curious about Eclipse.
Everyone is horrified of Eclipse except Andrew. Andrew honestly finds Eclipse cool and Andrew wishes he had atleast like a quarter of the power and wealth and respect Eclipse has.
Andrew really wanted to meet Eclipse, and one day, his wish came true
Eclipse had decided to envade Andrew's dimension, and amongst all the chaos and destruction, Andrew managed to sneak inside the ship Eclipse used to get there.
After a while, Eclipse left and came to the decision to go back home and call it a day, but then he heard a noise coming inside a crate and went to check it.
Eclipse found Andrew, but there wasn't much time to focus on that because the ship began to crash.
Eclipse and Andrew crashed onto an alien planet, and a lot happened. They went on an adventure, and Eclipse grew to actually enjoy Andrew's presence.
At the end of their adventure, Eclipse offered Andrew a deal.
Eclipse would give Andrew a life of luxury because Eclipse would adopt him,making Andrew royalty. But in return, Andrew would give Eclipse his soul and work for Eclipse for however long they lived.
Andrew agreed to these terms and went to Eclipse's castle to live there permanently.
Though, Eclipse had noticed Andrew's eye color and thought it was the same shade of red like a ruby and as soon as he made it home, went to Charlie to confirm if Andrew was actually the Ruby.
And to Eclipse's shock, it turned out that Andrew was, in fact, the Ruby.
So Eclipse changed the plan a bit because he did not except to meet the Ruby when Andrew was this young{Andrew's 12}
The new plan is to manipulate Andrew into liking Eclipse enough that he'll ensure Eclipse wins the war because the prophecy did state that Andrew was the one who would decide which side of the war would win.
This leads to the events of the main story.
