hi! can you pls do a hc for how Lafayette would react when he is surprised with a bouquet of flowers at work from the reader?

He’d be a little shocked, as it came out of the blue, but he’d appreciate them. Finding them on his desk, he thought it was another hopeless attempt from a co-worker, even though he’s told them he’s taken. But to find they were from you made it entirely different.

It’s a little heartwarming gift, and he’s certain to take note on it. He’ll definitely want to get / do something for you in return. So he might stop on the way home to pick up a little something for you.

“Hey! How was work?” You ask, starting dinner.

“Oh, fine,” Lafayette answered, “you’ll never guess what showed up on my desk today.”

You smile to yourself, but play it cool, “oh? and what would that be?”

“A beautiful bouquet of flowers,” he raised his eyebrows as if he didn’t know you were playing cool.

“Really, must’ve been accounting again, hey?” You bobbed your head and began to walk across the kitchen.

Lafayette gently grabbed you by the waist and pulled you closer, “hey, I love you so much.” 

You bit your bottom lip, before giving him a small kiss.

“I love you most.”
