hi! i just saw the rat cage picture you recently posted and i wanted to ask what kind of bin was at the bottom? ive been trying to find a decent size bin for my rat's critter nation and the custom acrylic sheet stuff costs an arm and a leg.

Unfortunately it is custom acrylic sheets 😅 It cost me about $160 from Ace Hardware altogether

rabbiteer society/structure/governement stuffs

okay so rabbiteers have this shit handled alright, like everyone is pretty content with things and things look like they can only get better! for the most part! hopefully!

why dont you ask me questions while im away ferrying my grandma places after reading this

ok so first of all, they are way more socially advanced than technologically advanced compared to us, but theyve made some advances in tech we dont have shit for like rocket/hover based technology, various non-lethal weapons and tracking devices, breeding things, and also programming, they are very good at it. Other technology thats more because you know, rabbit people, is that they have things that can dye their fur super easily, they can style their fur really well, have a buncha neat accessory type things for that. also bodymods because why not.

so society in general is pretty keen and happy people fun times, you've got your currency, neros, that everyone just gets as an allowance to use with their Personal Nero Cards/PNC's. As a companion to this, everyone has like, a megaman battle network style PET sort of device thats linked with the card and only works for the one registered user. this device allows the transfer and over-all management of funds, as well as usually functioning as a basic communication and low powered computery/gamey device.

so hows this work? well your allowance is always enough to live pretty well, get the food you want, and also do whatever hobby type things you want to do! if you want more than you have then you need to either access other resources you have (if you are rich or something) or do something. said something will usually be related to your hobby!

say you like gardening, you like it a lot! you make pretty flowers and stuff all the time, but you want to make MORE pretty flowers! if you do it well enough, which you usually would because you like gardening and you love pretty flowers and youve worked hard on it, then you can sell some flowers, get more Neros, and then buy more flowers than you could with your regular allowance! thats how stuff works, with some things like restaurants or what-have-you being more regulated but allowing to borrow space or something, and some, like being a doctor for example, having a harder path, but no where near as expensive as our equivalent.

it works! pretty well! no pressure and nothing its fun times.

so how do you get to there? everyone under the 18 equivalent needs to go to some sort of school. the elementary type school has everything and you have to learn a bit of everything at first, just the basics, so that you dont just dismiss something you'd be keen on! as you get older you get into more specialized classes until you get to the high school type thing, which is a technical school, for the specific thing or things you want to learn about if you want to do it professionally or as a hobby that makes you money. if you dont have any preferences then you get sent to a military type of school where you do volunteer sorts of work, neighborhood watching, getting animals out of trees, telling kids the importance of not doing drugs, and if you are older looking and catching petty criminals, that sort of thing

government is super simple in that its just "oh hey, you, uh, tailor, do you have good ideas for things? can you go to the big choices meeting for me? thanks" virtually no one has a job thats POLITICIAN, its almost always someone from the community who is well liked and/or has good ideas for how to improve rabbiteer society

man what if i named this rabbit alien sentai thing Lagomorpher.

so a week or so ago i made a character for the character profile thingy i linked in the last post and i was like "fuck, i like this a lot, i need to develop this as a story" which is funny because i intentionally left their powers vague out of lazyness but eh

anyway LAGOMORPHER is a story about seto skrit, an alien species known as Rabbiteers, they are rabbit people only digitigrade footsies because i said so. seto gets a belt with some gems and a band to transform with and then they start fighting monsters that are invading their planet in the midst of a Precarious Societal Social Situation while also keeping their head up about this whole monster fighting business and also maintaining their relationships

after the readmore theres some more deets about this whole shebang

alright so the basic premise is that right now the rabbiteers are going through various social changes, left purposefully vague but implied to be with regards to various gender and similar shit things. at around this time, a mysterious alien people appear, calling themselves hyoomens and being very odd and different, but for the most part they are all pretty cool chaps most people guess

their presence does sort of add an uncertain air to the whole thing and people arent super sure what their arrival means! but they hope it doesnt mean too many bad things then a few weeks/months later monsters start arriving

shit happens and seto ends up with a magic belt and band and five gems that each correspond to a different transformation! BUT they also each represent a relationship they have with one of their friends!!!

seto themself is a bit insecure about all this, and they are also understandably worried about the whole, "sole hero who can really fight these monsters" dealie... they dont think they are strong enough to do it and frequently feel like all of their friends are much stronger...

however! seto doesnt have to do it alone! while they are the only one who can transform, their five friends can help, they can give seto the strength that they dont think they have and they can take the burden of being THE SOLE HERO off of them!!! thats probably what would be set up immediately, with various other twists coming up and other mysteries and situations to solve!!! seto and their friends' bond would saaaaaaaaaaaaave the world!!!!!

so yeah thats that i think? fun sentai times with friendship powers starring rabbit people
