A construction set, adaptive to the needs of the neighbourhoods, was developed by Laimikis.lt and Padirbtuvės as an invited partner. In cooperation with the residents of 4 Vilnius neighbourhoods (Antakalnis, Šnipiškės, Lazdynai, šv. Stepono str.) 4 unique configurations of urban furniture were arranged in public spaces. The preferences of the residents of each neighbourhood allowed to map the level of trust and safety in each of participating neighbourhood.
Co-Design Workshops in Vilnius is a part of a activities, run by the interdisciplinary research & development network, formed by Laimikis.lt (Lithuania), Radarq (Spain), and the European Alternatives (UK), which explores the role of urban furniture in developing cooperations in public spaces.
The research undertaken to develop this idea was supported by the European Cultural Foundation.
