Romilly jumped nearly half a foot out of her seat and turned behind her. “You really shouldn't sneak up on people like that!”

Bringing his truck to a stop Kalen cut his engine, and then paused for half a second before kicking the truck door open with his foot. He wasn’t in the mood for anything but drinking, so he’d come to the right place. Kalen lumbered into Casa’s, ignoring the scenery and finding the closest open bar stool. “Brandy,” he ordered the bar tender, holding up four fingers. Satisfied, Kalen took a quick look around. He didn’t know how he felt about being back in town, but knew there were some faces he’d like to avoid.
